I grew up in the mountains and have always loved being up there. I always knew I wanted to become a mountain guide and make a living out of this life-long passion. I've bee a certified mountain guide since 1989 and love showing my friends and clients what I think is the best in life.

I'm based in Frutigen, in the Bernese Oberland. During the summer, I mainly guide rock climbing here, in other parts of Switzerland (Wallis, Grisons...) and in some amazing spots, including southern France. During the winter and spring, I spend most of my time on my skis, in the Swiss Alps but also in Piemont, Austria, Arlberg...where I love to take my clients.

Right between the superb Daubenhorn mountain (2942 m) and the magnificent Rinderhorn peak (3448 m), there is a paradise for ski touring enthusiasts. **The Gemmi Pass, part of the Bernese Alps**, offers incredible panoramas and is an ideal place **for beginners in this discipline**.

That is why I created this program, perfect for those with an enthusiasm for ski touring. The slopes are suitable for every level and taste. The plan is to meet in Leukerbad, Switzerland, and take the cable car to our accommodation in the Gemmi Pass. **We could stay at Hotel Gemmi or hike for 1 ½ hours to the Lämmernhut.** The following days, we will not do anything else besides ski touring. The distant views of the Dom, the Matterhorn and the Weisshorn make it even more impressive and worth trying.

If you need a rest, we can easily go to Leukerbad to relax for a day in its thermal spa resort (the largest in the Alps!).

From Leukerbad we reach the Gemmi Pass by cablecar. We spend the night at Hotel Gemmi or hike 1 1/2 hours towards the Lämmernhut, where we can stay for 2 or more days.

Join me and enjoy **6 wonderful days ski touring in Valle Stura, Piemont**, in northern Italy!

**The program is extremely flexible**. We’ll select the best spots depending on the day’s conditions. We can choose between skiing around Valle Stura, crossing over into France (on the other side of the pass) or even skiing down some lightly forested slopes. So expect some unforgettable descents!

Every day, **we’ll drive up to the start of our ski tour (5 to 30 km from the hotel)**. From there, **we’ll climb between 800 and 1200 meters**, depending on conditions and also clients’ wishes.

Instead of a hut, **we’ll be staying at a nice Italian hotel.** You’ll get to relax in the sauna at the end of the day and also enjoy Italian cuisine at its best for dinner. The wine won’t disappoint you either! **You’ll get a good night’s sleep every night and will be ready to roll early the next day.** 

Please note that I can take a maximum of 7 people on this ski tour. The best period to go on this program is generally from **February to April.** Also note that the tour usually starts on Sunday.

Come discover everything the Berner Oberland in Switzerland has to offer to backcountry skiers! Depending on your wishes, level and conditions, we'll go ski touring around places like **Interlaken, Kandertal, Adelboden and the Simmental, all the way up to Gstaad.**

I'm a local IFMGA-certified guide and have been working as a guide for 30 years. With this experience, I can take you to the best spots in the Berner Oberland. But also to many other places including the Eastern Alps or up to Norway!

**You can hire me for just one day or several days**. If you have several days available we can even do a **hut-to-hut ski tour.** We'll make stops at Konkordia hut (2850m), Finsteraarhorn hut (3048m) and also Hollandia hut (3240m), among others.

Going for a 1 or 2-day ski tour can be a perfect combination with your traditional winter holidays in one of the nearby resorts (Grindelwald, Adelboden, Schilthorn, Kandersteg, Jaunpass, Lenk…). **Escape the crowds and experience the wilderness of the Bernese Highlands together with a local IFMGA mountain guide.**

Guided ski touring in the Swiss Berner Oberland

You’ll have an unforgettable experience on this 2-day climbing trip.

From the two amazing peaks in the Swiss Alps, the Jegigrat (3370 m) and the Jegihorn (3206 m), we’ll have a majestic view of the Weissmies mountain. (in dialect, this name means „white foam“, and refers to its snowy top located at more than 4000 m.)

We will meet at Saas-Grund and check our equipment before taking the cable car up to Hohsaas, at 3101 m. From there, we will hike down to the Weissmies hut, an accommodation with **unique views of the Weissmies, Fletschhorn and Lagginhorn peaks**. There, we will leave our luggage **before climbing the Jegihorn.** If the weather does not allow it, we can also find alternative routes and continue on the following day.

This second day **we will climb the Jegigrat** before heading back to Saas-Grund.

To sign up, it is necessary to be in good physical condition and have a solid prior experience in climbing.

You arrive at an airport, we decide where great weather and great snow are to be found and ski there for 2 – 6 days.

Imagine to go anywhere you want all across 4 countries in one of the most exciting spots for ski lovers: the Alps.

It would work like this: I pick you up at the airport or train station in Switzerland and, from there, we can go wherever you want! Instead of adjusting you to a specific place, the place will adjust to you! We check the weather forecast and set our heading. The flexibility of the trip also allows to choose the best terrains for your ability and thus be able to squeeze every drop of excitement (and snow!) out of this ski touring program.

Bear in mind that you should be a good offpiste skier and be able to make 2 to 4 hours of uphill hiking per day to sign up.

The picturesque scenery of the Bernese Alps is the perfect setting for your next via ferrata adventure. The great rocks that build the peaks in the area, are enough to tempt anyone to climb them.

That is why I suggest you to try this exciting steel protected climbing route, also known as via ferrata. **Various 1-day climbing tours in Gstaad, Grindelwald, Engelberg, and others.**

Then, last but not least , **the totally impressive Daubenhorn (2942 m), which has the longest via ferrata in Switzerland!**

That alone **s**hould be enough to attract the adventurous climbers, but there is more. You will have the chance to test your limits knowing you are safe and guided by a professional. We could climb the superb Eiger-Rotstock, at 2663m, with a beautiful descent over the west face of the Eiger mountain or Kandersteg, known as one of the most beautiful and spectacular via ferratas of Switzerland.
