I have been skiing and climbing extensively in the Whistler, Squamish, and Duffey Lake areas and mountains of British Columbia and Alberta for the last twenty years.

Professionally my background includes working for the Whistler Blackcomb ski patrol as a senior avalanche control route leader, assistant avalanche forecaster, and rope rescue instructor. In summer I have provided helicopter rescue, rope access, and mountain guiding for industrial applications around the world. This led me to professional guiding certification in 2009 with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides.

Since my certification I have worked as a helicopter skiing and backcountry ski touring guide, avalanche safety training instructor, as well as a rock and ice climbing and mountaineering guide.
