I was born in Ariège, in a large family with a mountaineer past (Montaillou and the Barguillière valley). I started surveying the Pyrenees at a young age.  
I left my land of origine before turning 18, and I enlisted in the Marine troops.  
I specialised as a caregiver and first aid instructor. This allowed me to travel around the world. I participated in many mountain trainings, including mountain rescue training.  
The mountain is a privilege of my passion, it's important to me to link it to my professional activity. This is why I focused in the medium mountain leader profession. I am here to make you discover the small Barguillière valley and the haute Ariège.  
I am very sensitive to sustainable development, I want to be an ecological actor, give advice and inspire vocations.

The highest point of Northern Africa, Toubkal is surrounded by giant foothills, all of them of more than 3000m. There are several pathways, and the massif is the most accessible one of the Haut Atlas, near Marrakech and the medina.

**This week-long hike is a true altitude trekking. Classically composed, it allows for a nice sports hike with ascent to the Toubkal (4167m), the highlight of this hike.**

Herein the schedule and the circuit which I propose:

**Day 1: Marrakech / Oukaîmeden / Imsker**

74 km to reach Oukaîmeden (the great Moroccan ski resort at 2163m). Meeting the mule driver team. Visiting the rock carvings. Lunch. Depart towards the Oussirtik valley to reach Imsker (1381m). Path through the terrace farmings. Many activities in these small fields. A true green and ocher patchwork at the mountainside.

– Accommodation: bivouac  
– 6 hours of walking

**Day 2: Imsker/Imi Oughlad (1357 m) Tizi N’Tacht (2000 m) / Tizi Oussem (1800 m)**

We begin our hike through a green oak forest, and the ascent starts through the Tacht pass, with a beautiful descent towards the Azzadn valley.

– Accommodation: among the inhabitants  
– Altitude change: +643 m  
– 6 hours of walking

**Day 3: Tizi Oussem (1900 m) / Refuge de Tazaghart (3030 m)**

We go among the junipers and go through the Tamsoult sheepfolds. We pass through a series of suspended villages from the northern slope of the mountain. Every inch of land is cultivated. We arrive to the Tazaghart refuge by the Ighoulidem waterfalls, next to which we will bivouac.

– Accommodation: bivouac  
– Altitude change: +1230 m  
– 5-6 hours of walking

**Day 4: Tazaghart Refuge / Tizi Aguelzim (3550 m) / Neltner Refuge (3207 m)**

Day of walking to reach the base camp of Toubkal. We go up to 2550m to enjoy a beautiful view over the massif and then we descend to the Toubkal refuge near which we will bivouac. For those interested after lunch we can climb to the Ouanoums pass at 3650m for a beautiful view over the southern slope of Toubkal and lake Ifni (2:30hs walk, +450 m / -450 m).

– Accommodation: refuge  
– Altitude change: +670 m  
– 4-6 hours of walking

**Day 5: Toubkal. Early departure for the ascent of Toubkal at 4167 m.**

It is the highest summit in Morocco and North Africa. It is also an opportunity for you to very easily reach your first 4000 m. From the summit we can see much of the Atlas, at the we can see the plain and the desert. This summit offers a breathtaking view of the Siroua massif and the Imlil valley (ascent optional).

– Accommodation: cottage  
– Altitude change: +960 m  
– 5-6 hours of walking

**Day 6: Aremd (1904 m) / Marrakech (450M)**

Short walk to reach Imlil (1650m), a small village renamed the “Moroccan Chamonix”. Departure to Marrakech. Free afternoon at the hotel.

**Day 7: Marrakech / Flight back**

Depending on the departure time, it might be possible to continue the tour of the city. Transfer to the airport.

Enjoy one of the most beautiful trips in winter, to discover the Natural Park of the Néouvielle during its wildest period. Meeting many ponds covered in snow. Between the drift snow and the cornices we will cross through the passes at over 2300 m of altitude with incredible views of the Peak of Néouvielle and the chain of 3000 in that period.

Here is the 3-day and 2-night program of ski touring:

**Day 1**

Snowshoeing to reach the Glère refuge. Amazing views of the chain of 3000. Night at the Glère refuge.

**Day 2**

A beautiful snowshoeing around the Néouvielle lakes, still asleep under the snow. Beautiful view on the peak of Néouvielle. Wonderful meeting of the Natural Park of Néouvielle in winter where nature remains wild in this season. Night at the Glère refuge.

**Day 3**

Hiking through another route, crossing the pass at over 2000m above sea level and then 100% descent. End of stay between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Snowshoeing in the Park of Néouvielle

**I invite you to come and run in Ariège, on its beautiful ridge lines and admire the Ariègeoises Pyrenees, wild and majestic.**

This course will help you become familiar with mountain running. From an easy to medium level, come to labor your endurance and adapt your running techniques. Training lessons will be taught.

A journey of 20 to 30 km with over 2,000 m of altitude change will be adapted according to your level. There will be also some time for relaxing in the swimming pool, sauna or the steam room for a better recovery after a trail. (It is possible to do a customized trail course)

**The ideal time would be between June and October. I invite you to contact me to agree one date and one program. I arrange these trainings during 2 or 3 days. It would be a great pleasure to enable you to discover my region running on its uplands.**

Trail running in Ariège in the Pyrénées

During this trip and trail running in the **Cathar country**, at the foothill of the Pyrenees, you will feel in total harmony with nature. Indeed, we will keep our goals pretty simple in order to be able to admire the magnificent landscapes surrounding us!

Between ruins and fortified castles, I will gladly share with you my historical knowledge. Connoisseur of the region, I will tell you all the legends of my country!

We will travel more than 48 km in total, having overall 3600 meters of altitude change. During the journey we will stay in different accommodations each night (except for days 2 and 3).

A great thing about this trip? A car joins us every evening with our belongings, so we will be able to enjoy every day without carrying them!

A sequence at an altitude of over 2000 m will allow us to improve our mountain trekking techniques.

A relaxing day is scheduled at a spa midway through the trip. We will rest before tackling the second part of the trip with energy and great humor.

I organize this journey in 2 or 5 days. Below is my 5-day program:

On days 1 and 2, we will run on the hills and through the beech forests. We will encounter a rocky piton pass with stunning views of the Cathar castles in ruins, and we will visit these buildings.

**Day 1**  
Meet at 10 AM: we will meet each other and check the equipment.  
We will go into an adaptation trail route.  
We will visit a beautiful Cathar castle.  
Distance traveled: 8 km. Altitude change: +400 m.

**Day 2**  
Breakfast  
Trail route on the Cathar trail.  
Transfer of equipment  
Overnight at the Montsegur cottage  
Distance traveled: 15 km. Altitude change: +900 m.

**Day 3**  
Cultural day and relaxing at Couloubret baths, at the Ax baths.  
Overnight at the Montsegur cottage.

On days 4 and 5, we will run on beautiful ridge lines. These days include the ascent to a summit of 2300 m… Incredible mountain views await us!

**Day 4**  
Departure at 10 AM.  
Trail on the cult heights of the Cathares at an altitude of over 2000 meters.  
Overnight at the holiday center L’Ours Mont d’Olmes.  
Transfer of equipment.  
Distance traveled: 16 km. Altitude change: +1200 m.

**Day 5**  
Departure at 10 AM.  
Trail through the beautiful pastures of Ariège to descend.  
Distance traveled: 17 km. Altitude change: +300 m / -1600 m.
