The **Quebrada del Yatan** is a narrow, stunning valley. It is highlighted by the **Yatan river**, waterfalls, and several **Condor nests**, where you can probably see the enormous birds flying in the sky. A sensational, untouched area in the **Sierras of Cordoba**, it is a wonderful place to explore for people who don’t want to hear city noise, or to be constantly around crowds. It is a wild, quiet, vast, amazing place. And not only will you be spending **2 days** hiking through it, you will also get to spend a night camping in it as well, under the stars.

### **I am happy to invite you to live a great full day snowshoeing trip in** Bariloche**!**

**Let’s snowshoe across the mountains in Bariloche** while feeling the peacefulness and majesty of the Andes!

This amazing adventure starts **at Cerro López** foothill. Here, a 4×4 Land Rovers will be waiting for us to drive towards the mountain hut “Extremo Encantado”. Once there, we will check our gear and have a briefing about some snowshoeing and risk management skills. You will carry a home-made box-lunch with sandwiches, granola bars and a chocolate brownie.

The ascent on snowshoes follows the East Ridge climbing through an **old growth “Lenga” forest**. Keep your eyes open to admire Austral Parakeets and Magellanic Woodpeckers! Quickly we will gain altitude and reach  “La Roca Podrida”, the first viewpoint. Here we’ll have a short break, enjoy the view and a hot tea.

The climb continues and the ridge gets narrower and more dramatic thought the woods. After 2:30 hiking hours we will reach “La Piedra de Asterix” a rocky prominence that rises over the trees. This point offers a 360° view where we will stop for lunch and relax.

**It is common to see Andean Condors flying over the mountain at this altitude.** We will be now at 1615 meters of height. Time to recover our energy with two delicious home-made sandwiches and brownie.

After that, if you feel good and have some extra energy, we can continue towards “El Filo de las Cabras”. It is a mountain shoulder following the ridge with incredible new views.

Finally, the descent will be by the same route we ascended. In only one hour we’ll be again at the cozy hut enjoying a beautiful view with a cup of hot-coco on your hands!

A 4-day trip starting in Arturo Port, at water’s edge of Lake Lolog, crossing the River of **Auquinco Valley**. We cross beautiful landscapes of native forests to end in a beauty spot next to Laguna Verde.

**Day 1: Arturo Port – Auquinco (4 – 5 hs)**

The first day of this trek consists in skirting Lolog Lake by a dense forest. After 2 hours of hike we will arrive at Playa Bonita. If weather helps we will enjoy a rest time and a swim in this lake. Then, we will continue until we get to **Aunquinco** spot where we will spend the night in our base camp. You have to know during this walk we can find vary of birds such as the Pitio, woodpeckers and the Huet.

**Day 2: Auquinco – Corner of the pines (4 – 6 hs)**

Our second day will be easier and very different from the first one, because we will hike among steppe lands characterized by its thick grass. If it’s hot we can refresh our bodies in the cold but calm waters of **Auquinco River**. In the middle of those valleys we can find traces of deers, wild boars and if we are lucky, we can see one of them around.

**Day 3: Corner of the pines– Portezuelo waterfall (5 – 6 hs)**

Some minutes after leaving the **Corner of the Pines**, we can admire the beauty of the Araucarias. They are antique and typical trees of **The Lanin National Park** and they have been used as food resources by Mapuches.  
As we walk the mixed forest, we will start finding the first signs of an ancient volcanic activity. While we are leaving the forest, we will be entering into a black sandy landscape that slowly turns into a high desert. When we go through it, we will find the **Portezuelo Waterfall** and the volcano Achen Ñiyeu on whose side arises a beautiful slag heap.  
If weather conditions and National Parks allow us, we can spend the night at the waterfall foot.

**Day 4: Portezuelo Waterfall – Green Lake (2 – 3 hs)**

The day begins walking among the slag heap which is lava transformed into rock and channeled through an ancient glacial valley, approximately 450 years ago. This last section of the trail will take us to the **Laguna Verde** (Green Lake), where we can rest while waiting for the transfer.  
In case the weather conditions are not favorable or National Parks do not permit to overnight, we will sleep in Laguna Verde directly.

**Bariloche** and its waters give us unbelievable trails and landscapes to enjoy the best mountain activities. **Laguna Azul, Creton and Ilon** are some of them.

So that I am inviting you to this **4-day trekking expedition among the perfect and most imposing lakes of Bariloche**, in the Patagonia Argentina. For more details, here you have the full itinerary:

**DAY 1: FOREST HIKE**

The hike of the first day will take us about six hours. During the trail, we visit the **Rio Manso** which we will cross by a bridge, entering to a fantastic forest. It is known as “Bosque de Ñires” and its variety of animal, vegetation and rock species will make this trekking much more interesting. Finally, we reach to the beautiful **Laguna Azul**.

**DAY 2: ASCENT DAY**

Here we start the ascent. This trekking adventure will take us about 6 hours. We will hike up the slopes of the lake and once we advance some meters we will enjoy a magnificent viewpoint. When we reach to Laguna Creton a fresh water rain will welcome us.

**DAY 3: HILLS AND MORE HILLS**

We will continue hiking until we find the Cerro Punta Negra at 2.166 meters of height. After that, without going out of our way, we will find **Cerro Tronador and Cerro Capitan**, from whose edge we will enjoy a privileged sight of the famous **Nahuel Huapi Lake**. By the end of the day and after 5 or 6 hours of trekking we get to **Laguna Ilon**, the third lake of this adventure by the crystalline waters of **Bariloche**.

**DAY 4: LAST DAY**

In our fourth and last day, if weather conditions help, we can swim in **Laguna Ilon**, the warmest waters of the three lakes. After that, we will start the return by an irregular trail that turns into a flatter one after crossing the river. They are the final moments of this amazing trip around the best **Bariloche** waters.

Expedition to the South Continental Ice Cap

This beautiful ascent to **Cerro Naranjo** goes **above 5000 m in the region of Tilcara**. It will give us a **splendid view of the Quebrada de Humahuaca** and the crop terraces of Alfarcito, in the **fascinating province of Jujuy.**

This hike is for people who are in good physical shape. The average hiking time per day is 6 to 7 hours. Also, the daily altitude variations are up to 1200 m. During the hike we have to carry all the necessary equipment.

We begin very early by car from Tilcara to Quebrada Seca (3000 m), and from there we start our ascent hiking, walking about 4 hours with a backpack with all the personal equipment and water up to 4050 m. We hike on a well-marked path regularly used by the local people of the villages with spectacular panoramic views of the crop terraces of Alfarcito. Then the road has slight slopes, and after 2 hours we finally reach our camping destination called Abra de la Cruz at 4200 m.

From Tilcara to Abra de la Cruz

Today we start the ascent to the summit of Cerro Naranjo (5030 m). It is a 4 hours trek with the backpack but carrying only something to eat and water. From the summit we’ll see a panoramic view of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, valleys and some of the most important mountains of Jujuy such as Nevado de Chañi. The descent to the camp will take us 3 hours. Including stops, the total hiking time of this day is 8 hours.

The third and final day we will have 4 hours hiking to descent to Quebrada Seca where the vehicle awaits us to take us back to Tilcara. During this final stage we will enjoy a spectacular scenery.

**Cerro Lopez** is one of the best viewpoints of the Nahuel Huapi National Park. The ascent is amazing although its difficulty is moderated.

Cerro Lopez is a 2.075-meter mountain of Rio Negro at the foot of the unique village of Colonia Suiza and near the Nahuel Huapi lakes. A real paradise!

Come hiking in the **Patagonian Ice Cap!** Our itinerary will go from **El** **Chaltén** to **Paso del Viento, Circo de los Altares, Viedma** **Glacier** and **Paso del** **Huemul**. Finally, we will return to **El Chaltén.**

We will meet in the base camp "El Relincho" or "El refugio". Both camps are next to each other. There we can camp and prepare the last details before starting the hike.

The difficulty level of this trek is moderate. We will travel through forests, pastures, moraines and easy transit glaciers. The hike is 75 km long, divided in 7-8 days. Each day, we will be active 8-9 hours, combining walking and resting time. In fact, snowshoes, sleds and crampons are usually not necessary. However, I will confirm this right before the trip, depending on the ice.

I propose the following program, for 8 days, 7 nights + 1 day (in case of bad weather).

Departure from El Chaltén. Hike and camp in Lago Toro (or Río Túnel). Then ascent to Paso del Viento, camp in the area of Paso del Viento refuge (or in the refuge if available). The next day, hike from the South Icefield to the Circo de los Altares. Camp on the ice, building natural ice-snow protection. From here, there are magnificent views of Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy. Return to Paso del Viento refuge. Rest day (this may be adjusted depending on the weather). Return: hiking Paso del Huemul above Viedma glacier, with amazing views of the glacier. Camp near Lake Viedma and finally hike back to El Chaltén.

### **Welcome to the "The crossing of the Five Lagoons".**

The Crossing of the Five Lagoons is an unparalleled experience in Northern Patagonia. This 5-day expedition along the Andes offers the opportunity to get away from the crowds that are usually found around the mountain huts, especially during January and February.

In addition, we will camp at a different lagoon every night, surrounded by the most beautiful peaks. You will live the unique experience of cooking outdoors, camping along the most amazing shores and feeling the calm of the Patagonian wilderness.

At the bottom of this page you will find a sample itinerary of the program. Please keep in mind that **I can extend the trip two days or more** so we can enjoy the famous Paso de las Nubes traverse. That way we will descend towards Lago Frias and catch the ship back to Bariloche.

The afternoon before departure we’ll have a meeting to check equipment and talk about the expedition and logistics.

Pre-departure meeting

Using a well marked trail we will follow the Goye river until we are at Laguna Negra. We will be hiking along a beautiful evergreen forest with wildflowers and the roar of the river crystal waters. This trail gets a lot of use by hikers that ascend just to Laguna Negra Mountain Hut. Then, we will set up camp close to the hut by the shore of the lagoon.

After a good breakfast, the first challenge is to make our way around Laguna Negra. Before descending to Arroyo la Chata, we will take a moment to enjoy the view of Mount Tronador and the soaring summits. Then, we’ll descend to the dense forest and cross the creek. Arroyo La Chata is a good place for lunch and a well deserved break. In the afternoon the trek continues climbing towards Laguna CAB. Camp by the lagoon and take a swim at its shallow bays.

This is the longest day, it begins by climbing CAB mountain and traversing towards Mallin Mate Dulce. There, a wide open meadow is great for a lunch stop. The second leg of the day climbs the ridge line of Cerro Cristales, another astonishing view from where we will be able to see the next campsite, Laguna Creton. Surrounded by granite walls and big boulder fields, we will camp on a completely different environment.

Wake up by the alpine glow lights, have breakfast, pack camp and get ready for the most scenic part of the trek. Hiking above Laguna Azul (Callvu) gives us a magnificent perspective, followed by another alpine treasure, Laguna Jujuy. Lunch break will take place at the top of Cerro Capitan ridge. Here Condors flying close by are often seen. From this point the remain of the day is all downhill hiking across open meadows before entering the tall Lenga forest by Laguna Ilon. This last alpine lagoon reflects Tronador glaciers creating a peculiar scenery during the sunset.

Everything has an end and this is your last day so we will add a morning hike to another view point before starting the descend to Pampa Linda where the traverse finishes. Mirada del Doctor panoramic point offers amazing granite walls and a view to Laguna Frey down valley. After lunch, we will begin the descent across a wide valley with open meadows. Then reaching a stead down climb to the valley bed where we will cross Castaño Overa creek. Finally we will end the traverse at Pampa Linda. Now it’s time to loosen your boots and enjoy a well deserved cold beer!

### Would you like to climb to the top of the highest mountain in South America? Then join us on this inspiring 20-day trek to the summit of one of the world’s seven summits!

At 6,960.8 m (22,837 ft), Aconcagua is the highest mountain in South America. It is located in Mendoza and belongs to the beautiful Andes Range. On this program, we will get to the summit of Mount Aconcagua via the “Normal Route” and enjoy a prior acclimatization climb to the stunning Cerro Bonete (5000 m).

The Aconcagua “Normal Route” does not present technical difficulties. However, altitude is usually an important obstacle and good acclimatization is therefore key. This program’s main goal is to increase the chances of summit success and it’s the ideal choice for climbers who want to obtain some extra acclimatization.

On this unforgettable adventure, we will set off on a **40-km long** trek to **Plaza de Mulas Base Camp** which will take three days. Once there, we’ll head up to the top of Cerro Bonete (5000 m) and enjoy magnificent views of Aconcagua. After that, we’ll start climbing towards our main objective: the Aconcagua summit. The last part of the expedition consists of going a little higher each day, spending the night in different high camps.

This program has been thought to take into consideration the real demands of an Aconcagua trek, including some extra rest days in case the weather is bad or we need more time to recover. A type of white wind is very common in Aconcagua and can make the ascent more difficult. If this happens, we’ll use our extra days to increase our chances of reaching the summit.

After this, we’ll travel to **Villa de Penitentes**, where we’ll stay at a hotel in the mountain.

There, we’ll get the equipment ready for transportation to the base camp, by mule.

We drive you to **Horcones Park** Entrance, where we’ll get our first view of the mountain.

We will get our permits checked at the Ranger station. Then, we’ll head off to **Confluencia** by walking 4 or 5 hours.

-Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Penitentes - Confluencia (3368 m)

We’ve included this day in order to acclimatize better and give you more chances to summit.

We’ll trek for about 5 hours until we arrive at **Plaza Francia**, the base camp of the impressive **Aconcagua South Wall.** This is one of the nicest points of the expedition.

-Accommodation: Tents.

-Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

After 8-9 hours hiking acrossPlaya Ancha and climbing up through a very steep path, we’ll reach **Plaza de Mulas**, the biggest base camp in Aconcagua Park.

By the end of the day, most of us will feel the altitude.

The first day in Base Camp is always a rest day and a good occasion to take a bath and explore the local terrain.

Rest day at Plaza de Mulas

We’ve included this climbing in order to acclimatize better, and give you more chances to summit. Also you’ll enjoy a spectacular view of the west face of Aconcagua.

Ascent to Mt Bonete at 5000 m

We’ll stay in Plaza de Mulas to rest from the climbing of Bonete.

Then, we will divide expedition loads to carry to the high camps (community gear, fuel and food).

We double carry to keep pack weight down and help ensure good acclimatization.

This is a challenging day where we’ll gain almost 700 m with a heavy load on easy terrain. Then we’ll return to Base Camp. It’s important to take advantage of the comfort and lower altitude at Base Camp.

Carry equipment to Camp 1: Plaza Canada (5050 m) and return to Base Camp.

This is a day we’ll mainly use to recover energy, to rest, to hydrate ourselves and for abundant meals.

The following morning we’ll finally **start the ascent to Aconcagua**.

We’ll move to Camp 1, called **Plaza Canada**. Until now, we were working on getting an optimal acclimatization. We want everyone to have the best possible chance to summit.

Base Camp to Camp 1: Plaza Canada (5050 m)

Camp 2, called **Nido de Condores** (meaning Condor Nest), is located in a high pass at 5560 m and provides a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains.

Move to Camp 2: Nido de Condores (5560 m)

This day, we carry equipment to Camp 3 called **Camp Colera**. After carrying the equipment up, we return to **Camp 2** to sleep, to give our bodies more chances to acclimatize.

-Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Carry equipment to Camp 3: Camp Colera (6000 m) - Return to Camp 2

We’ll start a 4 hour walk to **Camp 3**, located on the North Ridge. We will prepare our tents and eat and rest, to be ready to get the summit.

-Accommodation: Tents.

-Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Camp 2 to Camp 3: Camp Colera (6000 m)

It is the most demanding day of the expedition.

We’ll climb the North Ridge to **Independencia Refuge** at approximately 6500 m. We’ll ascend through the **Portezuelo del Viento,** climb **La Canaleta**, and the **Filo del Guanaco,** which leads us to the summit. The prize is waiting for us, a 360° view and the experience of overcoming, that you only finally understand once you reach it.

At the end of this experience, we descend to **Camp 3.**

Summit day! (6961 m)

We have three extra days set aside on our itinerary to attempt summit.

These extra days are built in to provide the best possible conditions for each participant to summit.

Spare days

Return from Camp 3 to Base Camp. We’ll enjoy a great dinner to celebrate the experience.

Return to Base Camp

We’ll have breakfast and then start the descent from Plaza de Mulas to Penitentes.

There is a private transport waiting for us to take us to the hotel in Mendoza City.

We have breakfast at the hotel. Check out and end of services.

Mendoza - End of services

Mendoza. On day 1 of the expedition one of our representatives will wait for you at the airport and drive you to the hotel. You'll have the meeting with the guide and the rest of the group that same day at 5PM.
Once you have booked your flight let us know so we can arrange your reception at the airport.
