Ascend through the pristine landscapes and encounter the diverse nature of Ushuaia, including the emblematic lenga trees and the elusive red fox. The invigorating Patagonian air will fill your lungs as you conquer the challenging terrain, leading you to the summit's stunning panorama.

Our adventure will begin at 8:00 AM as we depart from the city to Ushuaia on a scenic drive to the base of the Glaciar Martial ski resort. Here, we'll pack our backpacks with essential gear and set off on our hike towards Mount Martial.

Witness glimpses of the Beagle Channel and the surrounding islands. Depending on the time of year, the hike to the snowline takes approximately 1 to 2 hours. From there, it's another hour to reach the summit, where the panoramic vistas will leave you breathless.

After savoring the breathtaking views from the summit, we'll begin our descent, retracing our steps back to the trailhead. The return journey offers another chance to admire the surrounding beauty from a different perspective.

Our journey begins at 8:00 AM as we depart from your accommodation and embark on a scenic drive to the base of the Glaciar Martial ski resort.

Upon arrival, we'll carefully pack our backpacks with essential gear and set off on our hike towards the summit of Mount Martial.

Depending on the time of year, our ascent will take approximately 1 to 2 hours until we reach the snowline. From there, it's an additional hour of determined steps to reach the summit.

With my expertise as a local mountain guide, we'll have a safe yet thrilling journey as we let the Beagle Channel, Ushuaia Bay, and the Chilean islands unfold before us, revealing the grandeur of Patagonia's rugged beauty.

Climbing Mount Martial in Tierra del Fuego, Ushuaia

Ushuaia is Tierra del Fuego province's central city, way down south in Argentina. This charming location is the access point to some of the most amazing natural landscapes in the country, famous for its pristine lakes, peat bogs, gorgeous mountains, and deep, lenga forests. On this day hiking tour, we will explore the amazing wilderness that this unique region is famous for.

This adventure is designed so that you can discover uncrowded nature areas. The hikes will be planned according to your level and needs and adapted to the weather forecast. I will pick you up at 8 am, and we will spend the full day hiking over an estimated 8 hours. You should be able to walk between 15 and 20 km through uneven terrain, sometimes up steep inclines and exposed to the weather.
