I was born in Buenos Aires, where my passion for travel and the mountains started to grow. This motivated me from a young age to explore the Andes  
Mountain Range and almost all of Latin America, through treks, trips,  
climbs and expeditions to discover new places and challenges.

I am a certified EPGAMT. My first job as a guide was at Los Glaciares National Park (El Chaltén – Santa Cruz). After that, I worked in the Aconcagua Province Park (Mendoza), Lanín National Park  
(Neuquén) and Nahuel Huapi National Park (Río Negro), among other  
places.

During the winter season, I am a ski instructor (certified by AADIDES ) and I have worked in Cerro Catedral since 2007.

In my free time, I enjoy backcountry skiing around the Argentinian and  
Chilean Patagonia. I also enjoy skiing and spending time with my kids.

**Lanin volcano**, with a summit standing at 3,776 m (12,390 ft) above sea level, is one of the tallest volcanoes in Patagonia. It is located in the **Lanin National Park**. The access to the peak is surrounded by an araucaria forest, that is located near the Chilean International Pass, “Mamui Malal” and the closest town to the trailhead is **Junin de Los Andes**. The name of the volcano comes from an old Mapuchian word that means “The Dead Rock”.

This volcano is for mountaineering **beginners**. It’s a perfect entryway to discover the Andes, due to its aesthetic value, its challenging snowy slopes and its 360º panoramic views from the summit.

On the first day, we’ll start at the base of the volcano early in the morning and start a 5-hour walk to the _Refugio BIM_, located at 2,300 meters. Upon arrival, we’ll eat lunch together and contemplate the beautiful sights all around us. We’ll spend the rest of the afternoon and evening resting and relaxing in preparation for the next day. You can spend the night outside in a tent or inside the mountain hut, depending on your preferences.

Distance: 7 kilometers.

Time: 4-5 hours.

Lanin Volcano Base - BIM refuge

The second day of the program will be a long but rewarding one! We’ll start with an energetic breakfast and begin our journey towards the summit. We’ll face an elevation gain of **1,500 meters** and we’ll spend around **6-8 hours climbing**. On the way back down, we’ll have lunch once again at the hut before heading back down to the base.

Distance: 5 kilometers.

Time: 10-12 hours.

San Martín de los Andes or Junín de los Andes the day before to check the personal equipment.

Join me on this day great trek to the Cerro Bella Vista, just 16 kilometers from the city of Bariloche, and enjoy **amazing 360º views** over mountains, lakes and rivers from the summit!

Cerro Bella Vista is a 1750-meter peak, lying between the well-known Cerro Catedral and Cerro Goye. **Our hike begins at Tambo Baez**, following the trail towards the Jakob Refuge. Then, after a 20-minute hike, we will leave that trail and trek along the Cerro Bella Vista trail.

Bear in mind this hike may be physically demanding as most of the trail follows a constant incline. The path takes us through a beautiful beech forest, and if you come in spring, you may enjoy the blossoming of Amancay plants along the way to the summit of Bella Vista.

We will take some time to rest in the forest, **enjoying a picnic**, with plenty of time to take pictures and recover energy to reach the summit. We leave behind the beech trees and the forest and continue our way through the summit ridge for about 40 minutes, until we get to the top of the mountain, enjoying **spectacular views over lakes and mountains!**

It is also possible to continue our trek, following a ridge to the  summit of Cerro Goye, descending to Colonia Suiza for an handcrafted beer.
