Guiding since 2001, before I started to guide clients in mountains I finished my studies as Tourism Technician (rafting & hydrospeed class 3). I like alpine climbing but also multiday hiking trips in Patagonia, some times I do logistic support for scientific expeditions and also avalanche control with Gazex, Avalancheur, Helibombing in operational areas (AIARE 2 rec).

Ice climbing in the Chilean Central Andes near Santiago is great during Jun/Sep as the rock climbing in Cajón del Maipo, plenty of 4000-5000 meters peaks are waiting to be visited, some of them with possibility of new routes, actually its possible to explore a lot and I have many proyects in differents regions of Chile!!!

Cajón del Maipo is an impressive canyon near Santiago, Chile’s capital city, offering climbing possibilites for everyone.  This 2-day trip is one of the best ways to discover this **great rock climbing destination** in the Metropolitan Region.

I will take you to experience the classic routes in this unique place in the Chilean Central Andes, no matter your level. Whether you are looking to venture yourself into rock climbing for the first time, you are a **beginner or an advanced climber**, we will find the route that best suits you, always surrounded by **spectacular views**.

A very interesting place to explore is Lo Valdes formation, near Baño Morales, where we find fantastic climbing opportunities, like **Placa Verde** ( 400-meter/sport climbing) and **Placa Roja**, probably the most classic route in Cajón del Maipo (200-meter/5.8 trad). The **Pared de Jabbah** (100-meter wall/multi-pitch sport climbing) offers some of the best views in the area.

Bear in mind this is a flexible trip, so if you want to experience a more **challenging climb or a longer approach**, just let me know and I will take you to the best climbing location for your objective. It is also possible to join this trip for a **multipitch introduction.**

We will travel from Santiago go Baños Morales. Tour introduction and information during our drive. Today we will go climbing to the Pared de Jabbah or Placa Roja, two great climbing spots in Cajón del Maipo.

Today we drive to Baños Morales from Santiago. We go climbing to the Pared de Jabbah, Placa Roja or Placa Verde. When we finish climbing, we enjoy local beer and “empanadas”.

##### The Cajon del Maipo in the Andes of Chile is a beautiful place that is full of extravagant views.

On this **2 day mountaineering trip**, my goal is help you see the absolute best of the **Cajon del Maipo**. In order to do that we will do some climbing. However, the climbs **won’t be very technical** and **no acclimatization will be necessary**. As a result, this trip is open to people of various climbing levels. But you should be **able to climb at a basic level** and **know how to properly use crampons and an ice axe**.

The trip will begin with a drive from **Santiago de Chile** to **Lo Valdes**. Once there, we will take a **3-4 hour approach** to the base camp of the **Diente del Diablo (3,943m)**. For the rest of the day, and the day after we will do some exciting climbing and scrambling that will definitely prove enjoyable. The higher we go on this trip, the more of the **Cajon del Maipo** you will be able to see. You will be able to gaze at various streams like _Coyanco, San Gabriel, Manzanito_, _San Jose_, and many more. You will also be able to see a number of beautiful rivers as well, including the _El Volcan river_, the _Yeso river_ and the _Colorado river_. However, the real treat will be the peaks you will get to view. Just a few examples of the glorious peaks you will get to lay eyes on include _Maipo (5,264m)_, _San Jose (5,856m)_ and _Marmolejo (6,108m)_.

#### The Cerro Almirante Nieto stands tall in the Cordillera Paine in Chilean Patagonia.

This beautiful peak is just one of several gorgeous mountains in the small, isolated range. Located in the **Torres del Paine national park**, over **1,900 kilometres south from Santiago**, and only **280 kilometres north of Punta Arenas**, the **Cerro Almirante Nieto** is a true wonder. And for **10 thrilling days**, I would like to guide you on a mountaineering adventure to the top of this beautiful peak.

The climb will follow the classic **Northeast ridge route**. Throughout the ascent, and particularly from the summit, you will get to experience some truly extravagant natural views. You will get to see several of the **Cordillera Paine’s** greatest peaks, including the **Paine towers** and the **Paine Grande**. You will also get to see a number of beautiful lakes, rivers and even the **southern ice cap**.

Since this trip lasts **10 days** you will get plenty of time to explore the entirety of the national park. We will be spending most of our time around **Asencio** and the **Silence valley**. And because you will have obtained a climbing permit prior to the trip starting, you will be granted access to hidden, beautiful and otherwise prohibited areas within the park’s boundaries.

To participate in this trip, you should be in **good physical condition**. You should also have **some basic experience with crampons and an ice axe**.

##### The island of Navarino is a magnificent place that is about as south as you can go before reaching Antarctica.

Hiking through the _**Dientes de Navarino**_ is unlike anything you’ve ever done. The landscape is so unique and so beautiful, you will be in a constant state of awe. And the isolation of the island, the distance from anything resembling a city makes it an even more incredible place.

This **7 day expedition** will begin in **Punta Arenas**. From there we will take a short, but scenic flight to **Puerto Williams**. During the flight, you will get to see the **Beagle Canal, Ushuaia**, the **Cordillera Darwin** and the **Magellan Strait**. After arriving in **Puerto Williams**, we will trek through the _**Dientes de Navarino**_. These jagged rock formations resemble teeth rising from the ground, and will prove a constant and spectacular sight throughout the trip. Each day you will see a number of great things. A few examples include the **Cerro Bandera**, the **Paso Australia**, the **Lindenmayer Range**, and so much more.

While the hike will not be too difficult or technical, you should have some **previous hiking experience for this trip**. And because we will be doing a lot of hiking during the trip, you should be in **good physical condition** as well.

**Chile is a perfect destination for ice climbing adventures.** This trip is your opportunity to **discover an amazing icefall near Santiago**: “El Manto”. Join me and enjoy an unforgettable outing!

Santiago, the capital of Chile, is very close to the Andes and the Pacific Ocean. At 160km we find the Portillo Ski Resort, a famous destination among winter sports lovers. It is **home to the Portillo Ice Fest**, the oldest and most prestigious ice climbing competition in South America.

On this ice climbing trip, **we will climb the frozen waterfall of “El Manto”.** This amazing spot features **a 120m climbing route with 3 pitches**. Located in the heart of the Andes, it guarantees an **awesome winter experience**.

Furthermore, this tour is a **great chance to discover the Paso Internacional Los Libertadores**, a mountain pass between Argentina and Chile. Also called Cristo Redentor (Spanish for “Christ the Redeemer”), this 3km tunnel was opened in 1980.
