Lan gave us solid advice and guided us through 3 different crags, all beautiful and suited to our climbing skills. He was very knowledgeable and we always felt in safety. Our climbing skills definitely improved thanks to him! He also taught us a lot about Slovenian culture and geology. We had an excellent experience with Lan and we'd totally recommand him as a guide.

Lan is an excellent teacher and guide for outdoor climbing. We had a two days program combining outdoor climbing skills and guided outdoor climbing with him, and it was fantastic. We don’t have any experience climbing outdoors. After two days with him, we are confident that we have the skills to climb outside at our level by ourselves. First, Lan is extremely familiar with the climbing spots in Slovenia since he has been climbing here for more than 10 years. He can find the best spots that match our level for us to enjoy. In two days, we got the chance to climb at different parts in Slovenia with very different views and rocks. One in the west with very nice sea view at the top, and one in the mountains that we need to hike a bit to reach it: everyday we get something new to experience. Second, Lan is very skilled and experienced in outdoor climbing. He estimated our skills when we started with simple routes. After that, he will recommend some routes that are good for us to practice new skills and some other routes that push us a bit to our limit. Because he is very experienced, he could always guide us through the harder routes when we stuck. These guidances are very helpful for us to make progress in climbing. At the same time, he puts the safety in the first place and always keeps an eye on us to catch anything that we didn’t do properly and lets us know. I felt very safe and well taken care of when climbing with him. Furthermore, Lan is good at breaking down the skill teaching part during the climbing process. As such, we never felt bored of practicing because new skill is always combined with a climbing route that we will immediately try it out. Thirdly, Lan is a very nice person and passionate about climbing. I could not imaging how can I climb up those hard cracks without his encouragement and hints. He has vast knowledge about climbing and Slovenia that he is eager to share with us. In these two days, I know much more in these topics than before. We really had a lot of fun climbing with him.
