Hello! I'm Masaki Mitsuhisa, a pro snowboarder!

I am based in Myoko, a place renowned for its deep powder. I would define my riding style as "All Mountain Freestyle": I especially enjoy doing jumps and tricks on natural mountain terrain.

I'd love to ride with people who respect Japanese culture, its people and its mountains and who are here to enjoy Japan as a whole.

I welcome riders of all levels! I'm not very good at speaking English so communication could be a little tricky but I'm sure we'll find a way around it.

I am a **Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ)** athlete. Also, I am **ranked 7th in Japan**. Snowboarding is one my biggest passions. And one of my favorite places for practicing this wonderful sport is **Nagano**, in the **Japan Alps**.

Located in the **Honshu island**, **Nagano** is famous for being the home of **9 out of the 12 highest mountains** in **Japan**. What’s more, the majestic peaks here, offer an **incomparable backdrop scenery**.

Also, its amazing **weather conditions**, ensure fresh snow all the way from **December to April**. So we can enjoy **long and wild rides**, with the best powder snow. Here, you will find **different types of descents**. But all of them offer the most thrilling experience!

It would be my pleasure to share with you some **pro tips** as we explore this winter wonderland. However, please note that I am **not a certified ski guide, nor an instructor**. Therefore, we will have to remain within the ski resorts boundaries at all times. But worry not! You will still find a lot of local ski resorts and **areas that foreign visitors haven’t explored**. **How would it feel to spend time on some of Japan’s most beautiful slopes with a pro athlete? This is your chance to join a top 100 Freeride World Qualifier athlete and ride together!**

My name is Masaki Mitsuhisa and I am **a top 100 Freeride World Qualifier** snowboarder. I am really excited to offer you this half-day of fun on the mountain with me.

Myoko is a stunning mountain range that is located in the Nigata prefecture of Japan. There are 9 separate ski resorts to choose from including, Myoko Ski Park, Akakura and **Suginohara, which boasts the longest run in Japan.**

It is your choice where we go so take a look and let me know so that I can organise it all.

There will be abundant deep powder snow and, with all the different slopes on offer in this region, it’s impossible to see and try everything!

I am not a snowboard instructor nor am I a certified guide and therefore I am not offering lessons here. Please note that we will remain on piste at all times.

I’ve designed this trip for us to have fun together on the slopes and of course I will be delighted to give you tips and show you my favourite runs.

##### Explore **Myoko**, one of the most fantastic areas for snowboarding in **Japan**. Join me on this day trip  and enjoy the most thrilling slopes and dazzling sceneries in the **Japan Alps**.

I am a **Freeride World Qualifier** (FWQ) athlete, **ranked 7th in Japan**. Snowboarding is one of my great passions. And **Myoko** is absolutely one of my favorite locations for this wonderful sport!

Only one hour north of **Nagano, Myoko** offers amazing long and almost vertical runs. This winter paradise in the **Niigata Prefecture**, is also famous for its fresh snow and hypnotizing views.

Moreover, here, we’ll find three very distinct resorts: **Ikenotaira Onsen**, **Myojo Suginohara** and **Myoko Akakura**. Hence the possibilities for finding just the right spot for our adventure are endless.

What’s more, **Myoko** is a very interesting town, **rich in history and culture**, as well as a vibrant lifestyle. Don’t miss out on the local traditions, including an **exquisite cuisine** and **_onsens_**, japanese hot springs.

I would gladly share with you all my knowledge and experience snowboarding in Japan. But, please note I am **not an instructor or a mountain guide**. Thus, rather than teaching you, I will focus on making sure we have a **wonderful time snowboarding together**. Also, for safety reasons, we will **stay within the ski resort** boundaries at all times.

#### **Nagano** is one of **Japan**’s top destinations for **winter sports**. Don’t miss this opportunity to ride along a **FWQ snowboarder** across this beautiful place.

I am **Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ) athlete**. I am also **ranked 7th in the country**. So, I often look for the **best locations** to practice this amazing sport. And amongst all the options in Japan, **Nagano** is definitely one of the places I love the most.

I grew up in this area. I have been practicing here since I was a child. Therefore, I know **Nagano** like the back of my hand.  So let me show you my **favorite spots**, and even some secret locations.

We will encounter **marvellous terrains**, with some of the **best powder snow**. We’ll also run into **long, steep** and **vertical slopes**, as well as impressive **tree runs**. **Nagano** simply has it all. It offers **such fantastic conditions** for snowboarding that in **1998** it hosted the **Winter Olympics**. Nowadays, is a fundamental part of the **Freeride World Tour**.

**Nagano Prefecture**, lies within the **Honshu island**. On top of its wonderful slopes, there are **9 of the 12 highest peaks** in **Japan** here. What’s more, it is famous for its **great ski resorts**, like **Madarao, Shiga Kogen** and **Nozawa Onsen**. But most of them haven’t been explored by foreigners yet. Plus we can also check out the ski resorts in **Hakuba**, as they are very close by.  So don’t miss out and **discover them with me**!

Please note that I’m not a mountain guide, nor a ski instructor. Thus, we’ll remain within the ski resorts, and **focus on enjoying our time together** and riding along the best slopes in **Nagano**.
