Endless snow slopes, steep rock faces... I’m passionate about them and I still find them mysterious and enigmatic, always exciting, never the same.

I’ve been on eight expeditions to South America and reached the top of more than 30 peaks over 6000 meters. I also climbed Aconcagua’s south face three times.

Besides, I went on several expeditions to the Himalayas, including Mt Everest.

Some places will always feel like home to me, like the mountains of Huaraz, Kathmandu, Chamonix and the ones in my own country, Slovenia.

Come with me on a 3-day journey to the highest point in both the Julian Alps and Slovenia, the summit of Triglav. Mount Triglav is a national treasure in Slovenia and it’s an awesome peak to climb.

Sitting tall at 2864 meters, climbing Triglav is an awesome physical challenge. It requires that we both hike and use via ferrata for the more exposed sections so you also get a varied climbing experience. During this trip, we’ll also rest in mountain huts overnight and you’ll get to experience Slovenian Alpine culture.

We’ll begin our experience in the beautiful **Vrata Valley** which sits at the base of the North face of Triglav. From there, we’ll start our journey to our first hut.

The second day will involve a solid five or six hours of climbing and you’ll make good ground that day. The final day will see us rising before the sun so that we can make good time to the summit. To take on some of the more exposed sections near the top, we’ll take a via ferrata route.

We’ll spend a little bit of time at the summit enjoy the stunning views of the High Tauren and the Adriatic Sea. Then, we will start to descent. The views from the top are spectacular, but what will really stay with you is the sense of accomplishment you get from reaching the top.

On the first day, we’ll meet at the base of the mountain and get to know one another.

Day One

Day two will be all about reaching Krederica Hut which sits at 2562 meters. This will take us around 5-6 hours. Once we are settled in the hut, I’ll give you a short training course on via ferrata- you’ll need it for the next day.

Day Two 

We’ll rise bright and early for our final push to the summit. It’s here that you’ll get to put into practice everything you learned about via ferrata the day before. When we reach the top, we’ll take some time for photos and to admire the sites before we descend.

Day three

Reach the heights of Europe during a weeklong ascent on Mont Blanc, the iconic peak and king of the Alps.

We’ll base ourselves in the world-class commune of Chamonix, which rests to the north of Mont Blanc and other surrounding summits.

Chamonix hosted the first ever Winter Olympics in 1924, and is home to one of the oldest ski resorts in the country.

From there we’ll spring into the mountains and spend a few days acclimatizing. We’ll head to the glacier below Aig du Midi (3,842 meters) to develop your climbing technique.

And you’ll practise proper crampons and ice axe technique on the massif of Mont Blanc du Tacul.

Prepare for the rest of the week with vertical ice climbing with the use of ice anchors.

And we’ll head to the valley glacier of Mer de Glace, literally meaning Sea of Ice, to practise emergency and rescue processes.

One week is the perfect preparation time to acclimatize, plan and conquer Mont Blanc. And this program has been developed and refined over years of implementation, ensuring a safe and quality climb.

Day of acclimatisation. We will spend a day on the glacier below Aig du Midi. This is one of your most important days of the course in terms of skill development, as it is essential to have good footwork on Mont Blanc. Day to learn and practice using crampons and ice axes. Night in the Cosmiques hut.

Aiguille du Midi

Day of acclimatization and practice using crampons and ice axes on the slopes of Mont Blanc du Tacul. Maybe we’ll even climb to the summit of Aig du Midi along the Cosmiques Arête. You’ll also climb vertical ice, make ice anchors, and learn glacier travel skills. Night in Chamonix.

Practice using crampons and ice axes on the Mer de Glace glacier (2,000m). Afternoon session on a crevasse to go through rescue and emergency systems. Return to Chamonix to prepare for Mont Blanc. Night in Chamonix.

Climb to one of the high huts, the Gouter or Tête Rousse, for the night. Our choice of route on Mont Blanc depends on the weather conditions. Night in a hut on Mont Blanc.

It’s usual to reach the summit just after sunrise to take advantage of the best snow conditions, and to minimise the risks of stonefall or late afternoon storms. We’ll be back in the valley in the afternoon to celebrate. Night in Chamonix.

You’ll enjoy spectacular natural scenery as we make our way up the Via Ferrata to the summit of **Ojstrica,** 2,350 m.

The day starts in the Logarska Dolina Valley, from where we’ll head up to the hut at **Okrešelj** (1 hour).

From the hut we’ll head towards the **Turski žleb couloir** (1 hour) and climb the Via Ferrata to the top of the couloir (B, passages C, 1-2 hours). We’ll scramble to the summit of **Turska gora** (2,251 m).

We’ll descend to the top of **Turski žleb** and go down the Via Ferrata (B,C) back to Okrešelj and Logarska dolina (2-3 hours).

The day starts in the **Matkov kot Valley**, from where we’ll head up to **Mrzla gora** 2203 m (4,5 hours).

From the summit we’ll head towards **Savinjsko sedlo** and descend to Okrešelj and **Logarska dolina** (2-3 hours).

Join me in the mountains for a 6-day skiing trip in **Chamonix**. We’ll take on a number of slopes in one epic week of off-piste skiing in the stunning **Mont Blanc** area.

### What to expect

On this trip, we’ll avoid the crowds of tourists and head off-piste to find some pristine powder.  The slopes here are varied and numerous and there’s something for all levels. I’ll be able to tailor your trip to suit your experience level. You’ll find great tree-skiing as well as nice wide, powdery runs.

**Vallée Blanche** is thought to be one of the best off-piste runs in the world. Whereas **Col du Tour Noir** is great for those who are new to off-piste skiing and the **Pas de Chèvre** offers a long run and beautiful landscapes.

The scenery you get to enjoy as we enjoy ourselves on the slopes is unbeatable. Over the course of the week, we’ll get to enjoy looking at beautiful **forests**, deep **valleys**, impressive **glaciers.**

### **The Logar Valley in Slovenia is a beautiful place to enjoy some fantastic ski touring. That is why I am happy to offer this full-day ski touring trip.**

Located in the stunning **Kamnik-Savinja Alps**, the **Logar Valley** is a wonderful area to explore and ski through.

Our trip will begin at the **Plesnik Hotel**. From there, we will follow a route that will take you through the upper part of the valley. We will be **trekking for approximately 2 hours**. Throughout the trek, you will get to admire the wonderful scenery of the valley. We will venture near an amazing **80 meter high ice fall** and continue on to the **Okreselj Frischauf Hut (1,396m).** We will also climb to the **Savinjko Pass,** which is on the border with **Austria**. Once there, you will get to enjoy **approximately 2 hours of great skiing on the north faces of the Rinkas**, where you can also enjoy incredible views of the various peaks in the **Savinian Alps**.

### **The highest peak in Slovenia, Triglav (2,864m) is an incredible mountain. And, on this 3-day expedition, I would like to guide you to the peak’s summit.**

Located in the **Julian Alps, Triglav** is a truly stunning peak. It stands tall and proud and will definitely take your breath away. When it comes to scaling the peak, we will take one of the easier routes. Thus making this trip open to people of varying mountaineering levels, as opposed to only experts. You will also get to see and admire the beautiful **Seven Lakes Valley** during this trip as well.

Our trip will begin at **Rudno Polje,** which is located on the **Pokljuka Plateau.** Throughout the day, we will trek along the technically straightforward, but physically demanding route until we reach the **Planika Hut**, where we will spend the night.

On the second day of the trip, we will venture from the **Planika hut** to the summit of **Triglav**. Afterwards, we will go to the **Triglav Lakes Hut**, where we will spend the night.

On the final day of the trip, we will visit **Komarca and the Bohinj Lake** before returning to our starting point.

Due to the physical nature of this trip, it is important that participants are in **good physical condition**. **Prior mountaineering experience is recommended** as well.
