I'm in love with the mountains, large spaces, wild and photography. I live in Tortosa, a small town with unknown and different environments around it, from the rugged mountains to the huge sandy beaches in the seashore, all of them in two Natural Parks: 'Delta del Ebro' and 'Els Ports'.  
I'm an UIMLA mountain leader since 2014, when a change in my life gave me the opportunity to start this new stage.  
I'm guiding all around 'Tierras del Ebro' and I make some getaways in search of great spaces by Lapland in autumn and winter.

Join me on this challenging **day hike** and I will take you **Castell de l’Airosa,** a **spectacular rocky mountain** in the eastern side of the Ports de Tortosa-Beseit, in Catalonia.

The Castell de l’Airosa lies within the **Parc Natural dels Ports**, a Spanish natural park located south of the Province of Tarragona, aimed to protect part of the mass of the Ports of Tortosa-Beseit.

**We will meet in Tortosa** and I will take you to the hike starting point. It will be a 45′ ride. From the **La Vall ravine**, we will climb to the top of the Airosa, which as its name suggests (airosa: graceful), appears in a slender and elegant way. **This hike requires an effort and we will have to climb to get there**. Once up we will enjoy an amazing view of the surrounding environment, with the Vall ravine on one side and the Lloret ravine on the other.

We will then continue our ascent towards our goal, the Castell de l’Airosa. Depending on the angle where you look from, the mountain will look like a medieval castle, that’s the reason of the term _castell_ \-castle, in English_–_ on its name.

Finally, we will enjoy **a nice descent near the Canal d’en Marc**, with rock formations that will blow our imagination and lead us to the Racó d’en Marc itself. The total tour is about 9.5 kilometres long and the **actual hiking time will be of about 4 hours.** However, as we need to transfer to the starting point from Tortosa, you should plan for a 1-day activity.

Castell de l’Airosa 1-day guided hike in Catalonia

##### To see the Northern Lights just once is a dream come true for many people. But on this incredible 8 day adventure, I would like to give you the opportunity to see the Northern Lights night after night, in the Lapland region of northern Sweden.

Beginning in the capital city of **Stockholm**, this trip to **Lapland** will begin with a ride on the famous **Arctic Circle train**. This incredible ride will take place overnight, so make sure you gaze out of your window at the bustling sky above!

After the train ride, we will reach **Abisko**. We will spend the day and night in this town. Hence giving you the chance to explore it and admire the landscape as summer gives way to autumn.

From **Abisko**, we will start the **5 day, 80 kilometer long circular Kungsleden trek**. Throughout this adventure, you will venture through **boreal forests** and vast **tundra**. We will be staying in different **refuges** throughout the trek, and each one will provide you with all of the comfort you need for a great night’s sleep. Moreover, each refuge will provide you with the perfect spot to look up and watch an unseen artist paint a black canvas with enormous brush strokes of stunning bright green!

After we return to **Abisko**, we will take the **Arctic Circle train** back to **Stockholm**, concluding the adventure.

We will spend the next five days in Lapland, following the circular Kungsleden Arctic circle route, spending the nights in different refuges, before returning to Abisko, where we will take the Arctic circle overnight train back to Stockholm.
