Combine culture, rock climbing and nature on this 4-day  adventure in Montserrat, Catalonia!

One of the most popular mountains in **Catalonia** is the **Montserrat Massif**. This range is famous for its particular and diverse rock formations which make it an ideal spot to enjoy rock climbing. Furthermore, this area is also a very important place regarding culture and history. The **Montserrat Monastery** features a big library, a museum and a remarkable architecture and is a place of considerable cultural interest.

This program will allow you to explore this amazing region over the course of four days. The day before we start our program, we’ll meet in the evening in the little village of **El Bruc**, situated in **Anoia**, **Barcelona**. Then, on **day 1**, we’ll have the option to explore either **Gorra Frígia** or **Can Jorba**. On **day 2**, more challenging climbs await us, such as **El Bisbe**, **l’Elefant** or **La Cadireta del Diable**. On **day 3**, we will visit **El Cavall Bernat**, one of the most famous mountains in the area. Finally, **day 4** will be a relaxing day in **Sant Benet.** Once there, we’ll be able to take shorter routes and visit the beautiful monastery.

Please take into account that this itinerary is subject to variations. We can arrange the activities according to your level and expectations so you can make the best out of this adventure in Montserrat. As for the accommodation, we can spend the nights in a hotel or in a gîte in El Bruc.

Additionally, please consider that the routes will be **demanding** . We’ll spend around **6 hours** per day on our activities. Therefore, this program is for **experienced climbers** with a **very good level of fitness**.  Of course, I will be there to help and guide you.

4-day rock climbing adventure in Montserrat

**Catalonia, in northeastern Spain, is home to some of Europe’s most impressive rock climbing spots**. This 5-day trip is your chance to explore the region and climb amazing routes under expert guidance, join me!

**Located on the northeastern corner of the Iberian Peninsula**, Catalonia is a Spanish autonomous community. Rock climbers from all over the world visit this region to discover its idyllic walls. **From steep limestone gorges to imposing rock towers, here you will find a huge variety of options.**

During these 5 days **we will discover some of the most popular walls of Catalonia**. We will go to **Montserrat**, a classical area offering many trad and sport climbing options; Pared de les Bagasses, a 500-meter wall at the **Terradets Gorge**; Roca dels Arcs, at the picturesque village of **Vilanova de Meià**; and Pared Bucolica, a stunning limestone wall of **Alt Urgell**.

Every day we will have a 6-hour activity including transport and climbing. **You have a varied accommodation offer to spend the nights** including hotels, hostels, Airbnb and rural rouses. Although the best seasons for climbing in Catalonia are spring and fall, on some walls **we can also climb during summer and winter**.

Keep in mind that **this trip is recommended for rock climbers with at least an intermediate level**. However, I will adapt the itinerary according to your skills. At the end of the trip, you will feel a better climber!
