Originally from the village of Sankhuwasabha, Nepal, Tendi now lives in Kathmandu and works as a full time mountain guide. Tendi began his career as a professional mountain guide in 2003 and completed courses in guiding skills, first aid and high mountain rescue. Tendi is currently studying for his IFMGA standard level. Tendi has summited Everest eight times in the last seven years, including two summit climbs in 2007. In addition to his impressive Everest record, Tendi climbed Ama Dablam from base camp to the summit in 2009 in a single push.

Our trek will start from the seventh day when we will embark on a **trail to Jipi Dzong.** Over the next few days, we will continue to hike to **Jangchulakha, Jimilangtsho, Simokotra and the beautiful Phajuding Monastery.** The path offers clear views of the **Jichu Drake peak** and takes us through **lush meadows, around yak herders’ campsite.** 

After spending some meaningful days, we will **descend to Thimphu** and employ a day **visiting the Memorial Garden, School of Traditional Arts, Changangkha Temple and other attractions** in the city. It will be a perfect way to end this **fulfilling trip** before we fly back to Kathmandu to bid our farewell.

We will pick you up from the airport and take you through the vibrant streets of Kathmandu to drop you off to your hotel. Thereafter, we’ll brief you about the next day and you will spend your time relaxing at the hotel.

Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel (1400m)

After breakfast, you will visit beautiful places in the Kathmandu Valley, namely Bouddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath and Patan or Lalitpur (the City of Artisans), which is 5 km away from Kathmandu.

You will walk through Patan Durbar Square, and see the architectural wonders of Malla era. Mahaboudha Temple, Kumbeshwor Temple, Krishna Temple, and Golden Temple are the major attractions of the square. Or alternatively, you can visit the places of your choices.

Sightseeing in Kathmandu or (places of your choice)

Board a scenic flight over the snow-capped Himalayas to Paro. You will be able to see many peaks including Jomolhari and Jichu Drake peaks.

After arriving in Paro, we’ll visit the beautiful lookout tower of Ta Dzong. Next, we’ll head towards Rinpung Dzong and Kichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the country. In the evening, you can stroll in the local market. Overnight in Paro.

Fly to Paro and transfer to Hotel (2250m)

We’ll spend half-a-day hiking to the famous monastery of Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest). Perched on the edge of a steep cliff, about 900 meters above Paro Valley, the monastery offers spectacular views.

In the evening, you can explore the town of Paro. Overnight in Paro.

Paro sightseeing

Today you will be a part of the most vibrant festival of Bhutan, the Paro festival. Held in the premises of Ringpung Dzong, the festival showcases mask dances performed by monks in elaborate costumes. The music along with these performances would be be great spectacle of Bhutan’s culture. Overnight in Paro.

Your trek starts from today. The trail leads through Jele La pass (3400m). As you will ascend up through the pine and fir forests, you will see the great views of Paro valley and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. The camp will be set at about 100m below the Dzong.

Paro to Jipi Dzong (3480m)

Ascending further, you will see clear views of Mt. Jomalhari and other neighboring peaks. The trail passes through rhododendron forests and yak herders’ campsite. You may also spot some beautiful Himalayan birds. Overnight at Jangchulakha.

Jili Dzong to Jangchulakha (3770m)

Walking through a forest of rhododendron bushes and juniper trees, you will reach Jimilang Tsho (3870m). The lake is famous for giant trouts. From here, you can enjoy stunning views of Jichu Drake (6989m).

Jangchulakha to Jimilangtsho (3870m)

Hiking through the rhododendron trees past Janetso Lake, you will relish the views of towering mountains. You may also pass some yak herders’ huts. After, walking through the winding trail, you will come to Simkota Lake (4110m). Camp near the lake.

Jimilangtsho to Simokotra  (4110m)

The trail ascends gradually to Phume la pass (4210m) which is marked by colorful prayer flags. You can see the breathtaking views of Mount Gangkhar Puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan (7570m) and other Himalayan peaks. After the pass, the trail descends past Thujidrag Goemba, a meditation center perched on a precipice. As you continue further, you will come to Phajuding Goemba (3870m). Your camp is located near the monastery.

Simokotra to Phajuding Monastery (3870m)

Continue downhill to reach the road head of Sangaygang, the outskirt of Thimpu. At Sangaygang, you will visit the Bhutan Broadcast Service (BBS) Telecommunication Tower, which offers the most spectacular view of Thimphu.

Phajuding to Thimphu (2320m)

Drive to Thimpu early morning. You can spend the rest of the day visiting places like the Memorial Garden, National Library, School of Traditional Arts, Changangkha Temple, Simtokha Dzong (one of the oldest fortresses in Bhutan), weekly market, etc.

**I invite you to join me on this incredible Jomolhari trek in Bhutan. On this 15-day trip, you will not only see the rich culture of Bhutan but also visit some of the most popular cities and heritage sites of the country.**

Standing on the border between Tibet, China and Bhutan, **Jomolhari (7,326 m)** is undoubtedly **one of the most imposing peaks** in the region. And trekking on this mountain giant is unmissable!

The trip will take you through the **beautiful countries of Nepal and Bhutan.** We will begin in **Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal** and after spending a day sightseeing the beautiful heritage sites, monasteries and temples, will fly to Paro to continue the journey.

Fly to Paro and transfer to Hotel (2195m)

Sightseeing in Paro

The trek starts from Drugyal Dzong at 2580 m with a downhill walk on a wide trail. The route leads us through well-maintained rice terraces and millet fields. We will traverse apple orchards and lush forest to reach the army post of Gunitsawa( 2810m). This is the last stop before Tibet. We will camp at Shana Zampa(2870m) in a beautiful setting.

Trek to Shana (2870m)

Hiking along Pa Chhu (Paro River), we’ll ascend and descend through pine, spruce and oak trees until we reach the campsite at Thangthakha (3750m).

Trek to Thangthakha (3750m)

Passing by an army camp, we’ll follow the river enjoying stunning views of the neighbouring peaks. For lunch, we’ll stop by at a yak herder’s camp. Next, we’ll hike towards the camp at Jangothang( 4040m). From here, you’ll see outstanding views of Mt. Jumolhari and Jichu Drake.

Trek to Jangothang (4040m)

It will be a rest day at Jangothang for acclimatization. This place offers stunning views of lakes, Jomolhari and Jichu Drake mountains. You can also choose to trek to the neighbouring area if you like.

Acclimatisation day at Jangothang 

We will ascend to get to the Nyilila pass at 4,870m. While climbing, you’ll be able to spot blue sheep grazing on the slopes. You will see breathtaking views of the high peaks of Mt. Jomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tsherimgang from here.

Next, we’ll descend to reach Lingshi basin, crossing beautiful meadows on the way. This place offers clear views of Lingshi Dzong perched on the top of a hill. Finally, we’ll arrive at the campsite next to a stone hut.

Trek to Lingshi (4010m)

It will be a strenuous trek today. You will hike opposite the dzong through the valley to get to Yeli La pass at 4930m. From here, you’ll have a fantastic view of Jomolhari, Jichu Drake and Masang Gang. Thereafter, you’ll descend to reach the camp at 3750 m.

Trek to Shod (3750m)

The trail follows Thimphu Chhu. You will descend through alpine forests, beautiful waterfalls and scenic landscape. Crossing Thimpu Chhu several times, we will finally reach the campsite at the Barshong Dzong at 3500 m.

Trek to Barshong (3500m)

We’ll descend to Thimpu Chhu and ascend gradually through the forests of rhododendron, conifer, pine etc. The trail leads through a bamboo forest until we reach the pastureland at Dolam Kencho to camp there.

Trek to Dolam Kencho (3320m)

Today marks the end of the outstanding trek. Enjoying beautiful scenery and wildlife on the way down, we will exit Jigme Dorje National Park in Dodena and catch a bus to Thimphu.

Drive to Thimphu (2320m)

After breakfast, you will spend the day seeing the attractions of Thimpu like the Memorial Garden, National Library, School of traditional Arts, Changangkha Temple, Simtokha Dzong (one of the oldest fortresses in Bhutan), Radio Tower, weekly market etc. Afterwards, we will drive to Paro to spend the night.

**Have you ever dreamed of ascending an epic mountain? Mount Lobuche rises up 6,119m in the Hymalayas and provides epic views over to Mount Everest. Here’s a mountain and challenge you will never forget!**

Located in the Khumbu region of Nepal about 15km west of the famous Everest and Lhotse, this stunning mountain is a wonderful trek and will provide memories to last a lifetime.

The beautiful Khumbu Glacier is located close by and there is the settlement of Lobuche that serves well to accomodate travellers.

Lobuche mountain has in fact two peaks: the ‘trekking peak’ at 6119m and the expedition peak at 6145m. We will be enjoying the less technical trekking peak on the east side.

This peak was first summited in 1984 by Ang Gyaljen Sherpa and Laurence Nielson and is graded as a PD+ which means ‘somewhat difficult’. This is the second least difficult grade on the list and means that it is quite accesible.

Despite this grading, climbing any mountain of this altitude requires previous mountaineering and summiting experience. The trek is not technically hard but you will need to be in good physical condition and have previous high altitude acclimitisation training.

**The views from this summit are incredible, you will be looking out over the Khumbu glacier and across to the mountains of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Amadablam, Thamserku and many more!**

I have designed this excursion to ensure a smooth acclimatization so that you can enjoy this classic Himalayan experience. Please read the more detailed itinerary below.

I take every necessary safety precaution and provide oxygen, a portable altitude chamber, a medical kit, an oxymeter and a satellite phone, all on top of the usual safety equipment.

I can’t gaurantee that we will reach the summit as that is in the hands of nature, but I have everything organised so that we can make the best of our opportunities to create the trip of a lifetime!

Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

The wide expanse of the silvery Himalayas will be visible from the window of your plane, it is a treat flying above Nepal.

After a few minutes of weaving in between the Himalayan mountains, you will land in Kathmandu.

You will be warmly welcomed as per Nepali culture, with a garland at the airport terminal by a company representative and a driver.

A private vehicle will escort you through the vibrant streets of Kathmandu to your designated hotel.

Our representative will help you check-in and will brief you about the trip beginning the next day.

Kathmandu Arrival

Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2800m) and trek to Phakding (2656m)

In the early morning you will be served a hearty breakfast in your hotel.

Then as per your flight timetable to Lukla you will be transferred to the airport in a private vehicle.

A thirty minutes flight to Lukla is one of the most thrilling experiences.

Just before landing at Lukla airport the plane flies above a deep gorge and then makes the landing on the pitch-black air strip.

The overall flight is a sheer adventure.

As you check out from Lukla airport, your trek guide will take care of you.

He will brief you about the trek, which will be beginning in few minutes.

As you start the trek, you will be moving along Dudh Koshi River to Phakding.

It is a short trek of 2-3 hours to begin your adventure.

The first day trek is designed to familiarise you with the area and the nature get you warmed up.

Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding

Trek to Namche Bazar (3450m)

Early morning after breakfast at your teahouse at Phakding, you will set off for the day.

Your lunch will be served at one of the teahouses on the way.

From Phakding, the trail continues north up the Dudh Koshi valley.

The route follows the captivating course alongside Dudh Koshi River and then climbs to the village of Chumao.

Passing the interspersed villages with magnificent fields of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs; the trail sharply descends the big valley of Monjo.

At this point the trek enters into Sagarmatha National Park.

Beyond the park entrance the trail makes a steep rock-strewn descent into a large farm and at a short distance you will arrive at Jorsale village (2850m).

From Jorsale, after several steep descents and ascents you will finally come into the Sherpa capital Namche (3450m).

Namche Bazar

You will have a rest day today.

Namche is a live amphitheater of Sherpa culture in the Khumbu region.

Perched on the slopes of crescent shaped hills, Namche is the busiest stop over of the whole region with a wide array of shops, restaurants, hotels, lodges and communication centers.

You can explore the town and the surrounding area.

You can also visit Khunde Hospital established by Sir Edmund Hillary, or walk uphill to have the mesmerising sunset view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest.

Acclimatization day

You will commence the day’s trek along a diagonal trail until it brings you to the huge conglomerated rocks that dividie the trail between Khumjung and Khumde.

However, you will slide down to the bridge and cross over to Phunki (3250m).

The distinctive prayer wheels that continually rotate around the water will make you halt for a while for a closer look.

Afterwards, you will resume the trek up a long uphill climbing section through the evergreen forests full of colorful flowers including rhododendron (during spring).

The entire experience is blissful with the pleasant aroma of wild flowers when the wind changes its direction.

Finally, the trail brings you to the awe-inspiring verdant plateau of Tengboche (3876m).

Historical and sacred, Tengboche monastery has a remarkable view of Mt. Everest and Mt. Ama Dablam.

This is a perfect reward for reaching Tengboche.

Namche to Tengboche (3860m)

The trek once again hits the Himalayan trail, going through the forest and past the yaks grazing on pastures.

It goes up beyond 4000m.

At the horizon, the Everest summit and the majestic rock palisades of Nuptse and Lhotse seems exceptionally beautiful.

Passing by the spring and continuing downhill the trail brings you to Gompa of Devoche (3757m), Milingo (3820m) and then to a bridge over Imja Khola at (3780m).

The short upward climb brings you to the monastery of Pangboche (3985m).

The monastery claims to own a scalp and hand of the legendary Yeti.

After exploring the monastery, the trek sets out again crossing a saddle, along a plain straight trail.

You will continue towards Orsho, where you will cross Dudh Koshi river to go up towards Dingboche.

Dingboche serves as an entrance to the Chukhung Valley.

Tengboche to Dingboche (4300m)

Today we’ll take a short walk through the ridgeline above Dingboche to Thugla.

With a gradual uphill walk, you will head towards a small pass.

From there, in the far east, you can spot Mt. Makalu for the first time.

You can also get the first views of Lobuche and Pumori.

As you move on, you can get a real close-up view of Tawuche.

After passing a road coming from Pheriche, you will cross a small river and head through a rocky terrain.

You will soon reach Thugla at the end of the moraine terminal in the Khumbu Glacier.

Dingboche to Thugla (4600m)

A short steep climb up to Chukpo Lari will lead to a beautiful place where there is a line of memorials in tribute to the climbers who lost their lives while climbing Everest.

From this point, you can see the outstanding views of Ama Dablam, Cholatse and Taweche.

As you move ahead following the valley to Lobuche (4910m) your next destination, the terrain will be drier and rockier with no vegetation at all.

The trail starts ascending steeply beside the moraine glacier.

After few hours of walking, you will finally reach Lobuche settlement, which is a small cluster of tea houses.

Thugla to Lobuche (4940m)

Gorakshep is just a 300 meters upward climb from Lobuche.

The early morning start of the trek will quickly take you to Gorakshep.

With the dawn break you will resume your trek.

Trek to Everest Base Camp from Gorakshep is a six hours round trip.

Since camping at the Base camp is prohibited, you will have to make it early, do your activities and trek down back to Lobuche.

Following the Khumbu glacier- sometimes the moraine glacier too, you will enjoy the sight of peculiar 15m-high-seracs of ice.

At the Base Camp you will have some ice fun, take group and individual photos for your Base Camp memory, view the Himalayan giants and trek down along the retracing trail to Lobuche.

Louche – Gorakshep – EBC (5364m) – Gorakshep (5170m)

Gorakshep is the common vantage point to climb Kalapattar and trek to the Everest Base Camp.

The climb of Kalapattar is one of the rewards of this trip.

The steep climb up the grassy slopes improves the surrounding view with every step towards the top of Kalapattar.

Kalapattar in Nepali refers to “black rock”.

The place offers the telescopic view of Everest and other Himalayan peaks as a scientific telescope is also placed there.

Kalapattar is a unique vantage point providing the most elegant view of Everest, including the entire South Col and Lho La- pass between Nepal and Tibet.

Feasting your eyes at Kalapattar, you will slide down back to Lobuche.

Gorakshep to Kalapathar (5545m), back to Lobuche (4940m)

After leaving Lobuche, you will trek along a flat land trail for about half the journey.

After that, you will start ascending along the Lobuche Glacier.

After about four hours of walking, you will reach Lobuche Base Camp.

On your way, you can enjoy the stunning views of Cholatse, Tawache, Ama Dablam, Pokhalde, Thamserku, Kantega, etc.

Lobuche to Lobuche Peak Base Camp (4865m)

Today, you will scale up slowly to the High Camp.

The closer you get to the summit, the more the amazing panorama starts unfolding in front of you.

Lobuche Base Camp to High Camp (600m)

You will start early today. After scaling up some steep slopes and ice gullies, you will reach the summit of Lobuche.

After reaching the summit, you will be left speechless by the petrifying beauty of the whole panoramic view before you.

After celebrating your achievement for some minutes, you will return back along the same trail to the Base Camp for overnight stay.

High Camp to Lobuche summit (6119m) and back to Lobuche Base Camp

This day is a reserve day in case of changes in weather or members’ health condition etc.

Reserve day

You will descend through Lobuche.

As you move ahead, you will slowly trek from dry terrain to sparse forest areas.

Sherpa villages including Pheriche and Dingboche along with the wonderful views like AmaDablam, Pokalde, Thamsherku will be available.

On the returning trail, because of the easy descent walk, you will cover the long distance and yet you will feel much better.

Finally, the trek for the day ends at Pangboche, the home of the monastery with the Yeti claim.

Lobuche Base Camp to Pangboche (3930m)

Today you will continue your trek on the descending trail.

Traversing the rhododendron and magnolia forests, exploring the monasteries at villages like Tengboche and Khumjung, you will once again arrive at Namche.

This time you will enjoy your success with drinks, explore the Bazaar, and hunt for souvenirs.

Trek to Namche

Today you will trek through Dudh Koshi valley and retrace your path along Monjo and Phakding to reach Lukla.

On the way, recall that the trek to Namche from Lukla was over 10 hours and took two hard days to complete.

Now the reverse trek from Namche to Lukla is just 6-8 hours consuming a simple single day.

At the end of Day 17, you arrive at Lukla and your trek concludes.

As per your flight schedule, you will board the twin otter plane and fly back to Kathmandu.

At Kathmandu, like before, you will be received by a company representative and a driver.

You will be escorted to your hotel.

The long trek in the Himalayan region might have worn you out.

Take pleasure in the free day at the Nepali capital. You can just wonder in the lively streets of Thamel and Asan, travel around the cultural sights of the city or you may simply chill checking your mail box at hotel room.

In the evening, your tour officer will pick you up for dinner at one of the cultural restaurants of Thamel.

Enjoy the evening with TAGnepal and after the dinner, you will be escorted back to your hotel.

**The highest trekking peak in Nepal, Mera stands tall at an imposing 6476m. Join me for 18 days to capture this emblematic mountain in Nepal.**

The trek has so much to offer. You will not only **walk through lush fir and rhododendron forests but also spend some time exploring the temples and local markets of Kathmandu.**

What distinguishes **Mera Peak** from others is the presence of three summits: **Mera North (6476m), Mera Central (6461m) and Mera South (6065m).** This trek leads all the way to the highest summit, offering **enchanting views of several majestic peaks including Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and Cho Oyu.**

We will begin our expedition in Kathmandu. After spending a day preparing and familiarising ourselves with the equipment, we will board one of the **most stunning flights to Lulka.**

Starting from Chhutenga, we will spend the next few days hiking to **Kharkateng, Thuli Kharka and Khothey until we reach Tagnak.**

The trip is **suitable for first-timers as well as seasoned climbers.** Technically, the climb is not very challenging but keep in mind that you **must have good fitness to get onboard**. Also, I have reserved ample time for acclimatization at Tagnak, so you don’t have to worry.

The trail offers **spectacular views of Mera Central, Mera North and Mount Kyashar.** Continuing further, we will traverse sharp ridges to get to the base camp.

The following day takes us to the high camp, from where we will set on the final climb to the summit. **Crossing several crevasses, we will get to the top of Mera Peak**. And, as you will stand there, **a sense of exhilaration will dawn upon you! Panoramic vistas of Everest, Chamlang, Baruntse and other Himalayan peaks will be in front of you- a spectacle truly exceptional!**

Following the same route, we will descend to Lukla and then fly back to Kathmandu ending this incredible trip.
