### **Join us to climb 3 iconic peaks in the Cordillera Blanca- Urus, Ishinca and Tocllaraju in Peru!**

Located just outside of Huaraz, the **Ishinca Valley** is a popular climbing destination for many climbers given all the **amazing peaks** which lie here.

The trek offers a variety of climbs as we’ll be ascending not one but three peaks on our journey- **Urus, Ishinca and Tocllaraju.**

This is an **easy to moderate grade trek** and is ideal for beginners who are looking for some high altitude experience. The approach is short and thus offers **enough time to acclimatize and learn some basic snow and ice climbing skills.**

Before beginning the trek, we’ll pick you up from **Lima** and transfer you to your hotel in **Huaraz**. You’ll spend the following day making an **acclimatizing day tour to Churup Lake (4,450m)**.

The trek will officially begin in **Huaraz** and the first destination will be **Ishinca Base Camp 4,300m.** From there, you’ll get to **Urus Summit (5,490m)**, to see some amazing vistas of neighboring peaks.

The next couple of days will lead to the high peaks of **Ishinca (5,560m) and Tocllaraju (6,030m).** Scaling on **ice and snow and tackling moraine**, you’ll gradually reach these two peaks, having learned basic climbing techniques. We have also **included a rest day** between these two hikes so that you recharge well and approach the peaks with full vigor.

After achieving the **majestic feat of scaling 3 peaks** in such a short time frame, we’ll return to  Huaraz via Cochapampa to end the **incredible trip.**

After breakfast in Huaraz at 7:30 a.m, we’ll drive for 1 hour to Pashpa (Cochapampa). Here, we’ll get on donkeys, load our gear and trek for a good 4-5 hours to Ishinca Base Camp(14,190 feet) in Huascaran National Park and start preparing for the next day.

Huaraz – Cochapampa – Ishinca Base Camp 4,300m

Starting early at 3 am, we’ll begin our hike towards the Urus summit. Crossing a glacier, we’ll arrive at the summit to enjoy the nice view before descending to base camp for an overnight stay.

Base Camp – Urus Summit at 5,490m

After an early breakfast, we’ll start hiking at 2:30 a.m. and arrive at the glacier after 3 hours. Another hike of about 3 hours will take us to the summit. We’ll then descend to the base camp for an overnight stay.

Base Camp – Ishinca Summit at 5,560m

Base Camp – Rest Day

After breakfast, we’ll get to the Moraine camp (4,800m) to spend the night.

Starting early at around 1:00 a.m,  we’ll climb for approximately 5 hours to get to the summit of Tocllaraju. The top offers splendid views of the surrounding peaks. We will then return to the Moraine camp, collect our gear and descend to the base camp for the night.

I will guide you on this thrilling, memorable, exciting and rewarding 12-day trek around the Cordillera Raura in the Peruvian Andes, a beautiful area full of **pretty snow-capped peaks, peaceful and tranquil lakes and lagoons, and absolutely massive and mesmerizing glaciers**, all surrounded by the vast and raw natural beauty of the Peruvian landscape and terrain.

The Cordillera Raura is a mountain range located within the Peruvian Andes, and lies on the boundaries of the counties of Lima, Huanuco and Pasco. **It contains over 10 mountains standing at more than 5,000m above sea level**, and is an increasingly popular place to indulge in trekking and hiking.

Our trip begins when we meet in Lima, the countries capital city, on day 1, and from there we head straight in to trekking, as we head up to **Churin (2,080m).**

Churin is a small Andean town where many of the hikes and treks begin, and is well known for its **myriad of hot springs, which we will definitely utilize.**

The subsequent 10 days involve trekking long distances every day, as we incrementally increase in altitude every day, whilst navigating the numerous passes we need to cross.

The mountain peaks, lakes and lagoons are truly special and magnificent, with highlights including **Patarcocha Lake, Gaico Lake, Portachuelo Pass (4,650m), Cuyoc Pass (5,000m), and Viconga hot springs.**

There will be ample time to take in and admire our surroundings, with **sweeping panoramic views** out over the sumptuous scenery a common feature.

After 12 days we head back to Lima, where our trip ends, hopefully having made you fall in love with the Cordillera Raura and Peru.

Join me on this exciting, enjoyable and rewarding climb up Diablo Mudo, a stunning glaciated peak located within the Cordillera Huayhuash in the Peruvian Andes, and we will **hike around some truly epic and awesome landscape and scenery**, with the views out over the mountains and valleys that surround us never ceasing to make jaws drop.

Diablo Mudo is a mountain peak located in the Peruvian Andes, and standing at 5,380m high, is **one of the more popular and accessible mountains to climb in the Cordillera Huayhuash area**, with its glaciated and snow-capped peak making for a highly memorable scene.

After meeting on the 1st morning in Huaraz, we then spend the 2nd day acclimatizing to the high altitude, which entails a hike up to the pretty **Churup Lake, located at 4,450m above sea level.**

Day 3 is when we really start to tackle some proper climbing, as we meet our donkeys and donkey drivers before climbing up to our **Rio Camp campsite, at 3,700m.**

Day 4 involves hiking up to **Cashpapampa Camp (4,300m)**, where we will catch our first glimpse of the mighty and majestic Diablo Mudo, before spending the afternoon checking all our climbing gear is in order.

Day 5 is the focal point and undoubted highlight of the trip, as we rise bright and early at 3am in order to climb to the summit of Diablo Mudo. Once there, an immense feeling of satisfaction and reward will wash over you, as **the exquisite and spectacular views out over the mountains, valleys and countryside below will absolutely take the breath away.**

After the exhilaration of this long day, the final 2 days are spent heading back Huaraz, where our adventure ends, hopefully having given you memories to last a lifetime.

Hike up to 3 hours to Churup Lake. After visiting Churup Lake we return to Pitec Place, where our car will be waiting for us. We then drive to Huaraz, taking approximately 6 to 7 hours.

Acclimatizing day – Tour to Churup Lake 4,450m - Hotel

From Huaraz we drive to Llamac, where the donkeys and donkey drivers will be ready for hiking up to the campsite.

In the morning after  breakfast we hike up to Cashpapampa camp, from where we will see Diablo Mudo Peak. In the afternoon we will check your climbing gear.

Rio Camp – Cashpapampa 4,300m

In the morning we will have breakfast at approximately 3:00 am, then climb up to Diablo Mudo peak. Afterwards the descent will be via Huacrish Valley to Jahuacocha camp.

In the morning we hike up to Sambunya Pass, an amazing  mountain with beautiful views, and then go down to Rondoy, where our private car will be waiting to drive us to Huaraz via Huallanca.

Machu Picchu is one of the most famous and recognizable places on earth, and I will guide you as we spend 5 action-packed and memorable days traipsing and travailing along the Salkantay Trek in order to reach it, with **the awe-inspiring views and scenery, as well as the fascinating history and culture of the area providing memories to last a lifetime.**

The Salkantay Trek is widely considered to be the second-best trail to tackle in order to reach Machu Picchu, with **far fewer people creating a more relaxing vibe**, and the opportunity to spend more time taking in and admiring the surrounding scenery.

Our trip begins when we meet in Cusco on day 1, where all relevant safety and general information will be dispensed.

Day 2 is devoted to visiting the Sacred Valley, where we will **learn about the Incan culture and lifestyle** that still heavily influences life there today.

Day 3 is when the trekking begins, as we head towards **Cruzpata (3200m)**, a part of the trek that exposes us to a spectacular array of flora and fauna, as well as an unobstructed view out over to the **Humantay Peak (5902m).**

Day 4 takes us up and over the highest point of the trek at the Rio Blanco Valley, with **views of the snow-capped peaks of the nearby mountains in every direction.**

Arrive in Cusco Peru (elev. 10,000’) transfer to the hotel. After you settle in, relax at the hotel or take a tour of the ruins around the city. Sacred Valley Tour: Today we will load our tour bus and head out for the day. Our local tour guide will tell us about the sacred valley along the way. We will spend the day exploring the towns, markets and ruins scattered about the valley. This is a very colorful way to start to learn about the history and local culture of the Incas and Peruvian lifestyle.

The Salkantay trek, salkantay machu picchu trek program starts with the transfer from your hotel in cusco. It starts at 05:00 by bus, and drive to Mollepata (only town in salkantay hike) approximately 2 hours and a half drive, site where salkantay trek starts. After breakfast the trek starts by ascending walking towards Cruzpata (3200 masl) along a slight climb there is appreciated various plants, native birds, and a communitarian irrigation canal. Sayllapata is the place for lunch a nice look out im this salkantay trek, after lunch we depart around 2:00 p.m in the direction to Soraypampa by a climbing trail with many level variations the salkantay trek, shows little settlements, flora, small wild birds and spectacular views of the Humantay snow peak (5902 masl), the salkantay trek in this part takes about 4 hours where Salkantay mount is possible to see. Notice this is the only cold camp site of the salkantay trek, salkantay to machu picchu.

Cuzco – Mollepata – Soraypampa

Today we will trek over a 15,000’ mountain pass. This is the highest point of our journey. After an early start we hike up the Rio Blanco Valley. At the pass we stop to take in the views of the snow-capped peaks of the Valcabamba Range in every direction, the south face of the Salkantay towering above us.  
This day the views are stunning. We will work our way up and take a break on the pass. Afterwards we will enjoy a hot lunch the descend down to our camp at 12,600’ Hiking time 4 – 6 hours. Total excursion time 5 -7 hours. Hiking level moderate to challenging: 15,000’ mountain pass. Horseback support available for anyone who needs assistance.

Soraypampa – Abra Salkantay 4,650m - Andenes 

Following our long day we enjoy a leisurely breakfast. We then begin our hike downhill above the Salkantay River.  
\* Hiking time 3-4 hours. Hiking level moderate.

Andenes – Santa Teresa or Hot Spring

After breakfast, we re-start our salkantay hike at early morning at around 06.00 hrs if we decide the panoramic walking option means we will have our salkantay hike hard section, about 3.5 hrs of extreme trek takes us to summit llactapata, an inca site, in this part the salkantay hike gives opportunity to see from a far way the view of machu picchu, then a large switch-back trail takes down to river bank, in about 7 hours total walking we get hydroelectric, place for lunch and take local trail to arrive in aguas calientes at around 8.00 pm, the other option of the salkantay hike in this day is to take a minivan and drive to hydro electric, place to start walking by a trail next to train tracks, it is an easy and nice walk for about 3 hours, still possibility to see machu picchu form the back site, early arrival to aguas calientes and take shower and relax for the last final day. It can be full day walk or half day walk of the Salkantay.

Santa Teresa – Hidroelectrica – Aguas Calientes

Wake up at around 4.30 am and bus ride to machu picchu (no more salkantay hike). For a tranquil morning hours in machu pichu, where a complete guided tour is waiting for, the visit to the Inca citadel will take approximately 2 hours. Note that we are the only one of the few companies who uses the same tour guide for machu micchu, while other companies for the salkantay hike – salkantay machu picchu they contact different tour guide coz their hiking guides are not authorized professional salkantay hike guides. After guiding, if you got the ticket for huayna picchu Mountain you can climb up, to experience an spectacular view of all of Machu Picchu, the valleys and mountains that surrounds it, visit the temple of the moon, or the fabulous Inca Bridge. In the afternoon, we meet in the town of Aguas Calientes from where we take the train back to Cusco. Where finally our salkantay hike ends.

Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Cuzco

This morning we will enjoy a hot breakfast. Last minute gift shopping is available in Cusco, We will then prepare to catch there flight home in the morning or afternoon.

### Join us on this challenging and thrilling trek to get to the base camp to “Touching the Void” in Cordillera Huayhuash, Peru.

“**Touching the Void”** is a truly dumbfounding account of the suffering and courage of British mountaineers **Joe Simpson and Simon Yates** on their journey to **Siula Grande**, **a high mountain of 6356 m** in the **Cordillera Huayhuash Range in the Peruvian Andes.**

The incident occurred in 1985 when the two alpinists decided to climb the threatening **West Face of the peak**, which had not been climbed before.

We’ll take you to the **Base Camp of Siula Grande** and tell you about the dramatic turn of events that occurred that day and how the climbers handled it. In 2002,  a film was also shot on the West Face of the peak about the incident.

Our journey will begin in **Lima**, from where we’ll transfer you to your hotel. The following day, you’ll board a bus to Huaraz, from where you’ll go on an a**cclimatization tour to Churup Lake (4450m).**

We’ll then transfer you from **Huaraz to Rondoy** to begin the trek. The trail will take you through the high passes of **Sambunya (4800 m), Yaucha (4800 m) and Tapush (4800 m)** until you reach Cutatambo.

You’ll be crossing **several small rivers and valleys** on the way and be rewarded with **stunning views of beautiful mountains** throughout. We’ll approach the base camp of **“Touching the Void”** from **Cutatambo.**

On the way, you’ll hear the **dramatic history of the two climbers** until you reach the base camp. The spectacular **Sarapococha lagoon** will be our next stop, from where we’ll head to the **viewpoint to Siula Grande** and other neighboring peaks.

Passing by the camps at **San Antonio, Viconga and Cajatambo,** we’ll return to Huaraz or Lima, ending this incredible trip.

We’ll head south of Huaraz for about two hours to reach Chiquian. Appreciating stunning views of the Cordillera Huayhuash on the way, including Yerupaja, the second highest peak in Peru, we’ll continue to Llamac village, the gateway of the Cordillera Huayhuash. Passing by the Pocpa village and Pallca, we’ll finally get to Rondoy campsite at 4050m.

Huaraz – Transfer Drive to Rondoy

After breakfast, we’ll climb up our first pass- Sambunya at 4800m. You’ll see beautiful views of Rondoy, Ninashanca, Jirishanca, Yerupaja 6634m. Rasac from here. While descending, you’ll see the pristine Solteracocha lake. Our campsite is next to Jahuacocha lake.

Hiking Time: 6 – 7 Hours

Rondoy – Sambunya Pass 4800m.- Jahuacocha Lake 4100

This morning, we’ll hike up to Yaucha pass 4800m. It will take 3 hours. We’ll then walk down to Ancoscancha valley. Crossing the small river, it will take about 40 minutes to get to Cashpapampa camp.

Hiking time: 7 Hours

Jahuacocha Lake – Yaucha Pass 4800m. – Cashpapampa 4300m

After breakfast, we’ll cross Tapush pass (4800m, 1 hour ). On the way, we’ll see Diablo Mudo peak and part of the Cordillera Blanca. Going down to Huayllapa village, we’ll see the culture and lifestyle of local people during our visit.

Hiking time: 5 Hours

Cashpapampa – Tapush Pass 4800m. – Huayllapa 3500m

Following the Calinca valley, we’ll hike to Cutatambo camp. The trail showcases the beautiful mountains of Jurao, Carnicero, Sarapo, Yerupaja south face, Huacrish and many others.

Hiking time: 5 – 6 hours

 Huayllapa – Cutatambo

Today, we will visit the Base Camp of Touching The Void.  
We’ll begin early just after breakfast and our guide will explain the dramatic history of Joe Simpson and Simon Yates in Siula Grande 6340m on the way. Then, we’ll visit Sarapococha lagoon and head towards the viewpoint of Siula Grande, Sarapo and Rasac and later, return to camp.

Cutatambo – visita Sarapococha and Base Camp of Touching TheVoid

We’ll climb Santa Rosa (5000m). It will take 3 hours from the pass and we will have amazing mountain views accompanying us to San Antonio Camp.

Hiking time: 6 Hours

Cutatambo – Santa Rosa Pass 5020m. – San Antonio 4300m

Crossing the Cuyoc pass at 5000m, we’ll see the stunning peaks of Cuyoc, Pumarinry and the Cordillera Raura. We’ll then descend to Viconga camp ( hot spring) to take a dip in the hot waters.

Hiking time: 5 hours

San Antonio – Cuyoc Pass 5000m. – Viconga 4300m.( hot spring)

After breakfast, we’ll descend along the Pumarinri valley to arrive at Cajatambo Pass at 4150m. After bidding our farewell to Cordillera Huayhuash, we’ll then get to Cajatambo town and spend the night in a hostel or in tents and have a celebration dinner.

Hiking Time: 7 Hours
