**Are you ready for a hiking adventure you will never forget?  Then join me on a 4-day excursion in the heart of the Vosges and discover the most peaceful and unique wilderness in France.**

Located in the east of France, our hiking tour will start in Epinal. This French historic town is the capital of the Vosges department and is famous for its ancient arcades and charming old houses. During the days to come, we will hike through forests and hills and admire its beautiful nature.

**We will take the GR7 Route.** Along the way, we will stop at the **Ballon d’Alsace (1,247 m),** and from its summit, you will enjoy the views of the Vosges Mountains, the Rhine Valley, and the Black Forest. Also, we will discover the spectacular **Monts Faucilles, also known as the Sickle Hills.** Furthermore, we will go to the great Uzemain watershed located between the North Sea and the Mediterranean. Our meeting point will be at 16:00 hr at your hotel.

Then, we will walk to the ruins of the Parc du château.

Hours: 1 hour walk

Altitude difference: + 50m / – 50m

Dinner on the Place des Vosges.

Meeting point in Epinal 

First, we will depart from Epinal and explore the rocks of Olima, and the Countess pond  amongst other beautiful natural landmarks.

Finally, we will spend the night in a charming mountain hut, near Uzemain in the Coney Valley, which we will explore the next day.

Hours: 6 hours walk

Altitude difference: + 350m / – 150m

Departure from Epinal - Rest in Coney Valley

We will explore Bains les Bains. These are ancient spots built by the Romans for natural hot springs at 68 °.

Then we will go to Uzemain, the watershed between the North Sea and the Mediterranean.

The landscape is rich with valleys, meadows and forests.

Finally, we will arrive in the capital of the Vogel Spa following the Moselle Canal to the Saone. This spot is full of stories of famous glassmakers, manufacturers and of the Dukes of Lorraine.

Overnight at the Hotel du Prieuré \*\*\* in the grounds of the Roman Baths.

Hours: 6 hours of steps

Bains les Bains

We may practice Chi Kung (Qigong) or enjoy some massages with hot oils (upon reservation 60 €).

Finally, we will return by minibus at  17:00hs approx. to Epinal.

4-day hike in the heart of the Vosges

**If you are looking for a perfect natural setting, fresh mountain air and beautiful crystalline lakes, Tyrol has them all. Join me on this 6 day guided hiking trip and discover this unique beauty  in the heart of the Alps.**

Located in northern Italy and western Austria, Tyrol is a historical region in the Alps. On this trip, we will cover 24,000 kilometres of marked hiking and mountain paths as we admire the spectacular views of the Tyrolean Mountains.

**For the 5 nights of our trip, we will rest and relax in the Wildauerhof Hotel.**  Set at the foot of the impressive Kaisergebirge mountain range, in the **charming village of Walchsee (668 m)**, this resort is the ideal place to relax, to enjoy some delicious local food made by the Wildenauer family and to prepare for the next trekking day.  **For a more detailed description of the trip, please take a look at the itinerary below!**

First, we will meet at around 6 pm at the **Wildauerhof Hotel,** in the Walchsee village (668m).

This will be our accommodation during the entire hiking program.

Walchsee

• 5am | + 500m, -500m

Loop trek from Lake Walchsee.

First, we will climb to Lippenalm (961 m). Then we will head to the summit of Ebersberg. There,  we will catch magnificent views of the Wilder Kaiser and the Zahmer Kaiser . Finally, we’ll explore the Erzbach valley and descend back to our hotel.

Free time to take advantage of the Fitness and Wellness Area integrated into the hotel.

 Walchsee - Ebersberg (1164m) - Walchsee

• 5am | + 650m, -650m

Loop trek from the hotel.

We will start climbing to Großpointneralm. Then we will go to Winkelalm, and pass through the passage in the “circus” at the foot of the spectacular Jofenspitze and Pyramidenspitze.

After, we will climb to Jovenalm (1,342 m). There, we will catch wonderful views of the Walchsee valley. Finally, we will descend back to the hotel.

We may also descend through the Walchsee summer toboggans from the top of the “Zahmer Kaiser” cable car (one of Tyrol’s most beautiful summer toboggan runs).

Free time to take advantage of the Fitness and Wellness Area integrated into the hotel.

Walchsee - Großpointneralm (928m) - Winkelalm (1193m) - Jovenalm (1342m) - Walchsee 

First we will climb to the valleys and travel through beautiful forests that lead to the Taubensee-hütte from where we’ll have a panoramic view of the entire region. Then, we will go to Lake Taubensee (1,140 m) nestled in the bottom of a glacial cirque and located on the German border that goes through the middle of the lake.

We will continue our journey in Germany to the Stoibenmöseralm Inn (1,273 m) located on a plateau with a magnificent panoramic view of the Chiemsee and the Alps before descending to Kössen.

Transfer back to the hotel.

Free time to take advantage of the Fitness and Wellness Area integrated into the hotel.

Kössen (579m) - Taubenseehütte (1165m) - Kössen • 5am | + 620m, -620m Short transfer to Kössen

Transfer to Griesenau.

We will discover the Kaiserbachtal valley, located in the Kaisergebirg Natural Reserve . The reserve, surrounded to the east by the Wilder Kaiser and to the north by the Feldberg and the Zahmer Kaiser region, embraces 10,200 hectares of unique flora and fauna in the Alps.

This pleasant walk, rich in sumptuous landscapes and exceptional discoveries, along the wild stream of Kaiserbach, will take us to the Fischbachalm and the Inn of Griesner Alm located at the foot of Stripsenjoch (1577m).

Transfer back to the hotel.

 Griesenau (728m) - Fischbachalm (856m) - Griesner Alm (1024m) - Griesenau • 5h30 | + 350m, -350m

Short transfer to Kössen.

First we will cross the valley at the foot of the Riedlberg massif. Then, we will go through the passage to Edernalm (910m) and Ottenalm (960m) and descend to the foot of the cliffs of Kranzinger Berg (1015m) to Walchsee.

End of the stay on Friday at 2 pm at the hotel.

**The Vosges massif, in the east of France, is a beautiful and wild destination that during the winter offers us abundant snow. Join me for a weekend and let’s enjoy 2 fantastic snowshoeing days together!**

The natural environment is very well preserved. During the winter we will not see as many animals as in warmer months. This gives the region a particular feel of isolation. But we are not alone! There is still plenty of wildlife around. And the slower rhythm of snowshoeing, compared to other more active disciplines, is ideal to take in all the beauty.

If you love taking the time to appreciate a particular landscape, or if you are a photography enthusiast, you cannot miss these 2 days exploring the Vosges massif.

We will spend the night in an authentic mountain inn, where we will share the evening in a cozy environment. And nature will be all around us!

We meet at Gérardmer in the morning. Today we will mainly ascend, going up along the Longemer valley and enjoying stunning views.

After a well deserved rest, we will start the second snowshoeing day with a traverse of the massif ridges. Then we go to the Machais bog and the Bramont pass.  
The last stage is the Corbeaux lake, to finally reach La Bresse, end point of the trip.

**The Vosges Mountains are a large range of low peaks famous for their stunning lakes, hills and forests. On this guided crossing, I invite you to discover these stunning mountains!**

**Located in Eastern France, near the German border, this low ceiling mountain range extends for 250 kilometers along the left bank of the Rhine. On this excursion we will have the chance to discover the natural charms of this wonderful location. Additionally, we will also discover its historic treasures. We will visit the German Military Cemetery of Baerenstal and** the Linen Memorial, historic sites that are linked to the **Celts and the First World War.** 

I will guide you along the high Vosges trails. From the Bonhomme Pass to the highest point, the Grand Ballon, we will explore its charming trails. You will even get to enjoy the views of the Rocks of Martinswand, one of the most climbed granite cliffs of the Vosges, at the break of dawn! **For a more detailed description of the trip, take a look at the itinerary below!**

We will meet in Munster, one of the largest and most beautiful valleys of the Alsatian slopes of the High Vosges! This location takes its name from the construction of the third monastery built by the Benedictine monks, inspired by Saint-Colomban from Ireland!

After coming together, we do a short trip briefing and then spend the night in a hotel in the area.

Meeting point at your hotel in Munster

On the first day of our trek we will discover forests, lakes and swamps as we begin our adventure.

Additionally,  we will visit WWI landmarks such as a passage near Lince Memorial, the German Military Cemetery of Baerenstall (975 m) and the scattered farms of the country Welche.

Then, we will spend two nights in an Alsacian village of the Orbey mountain.

Altitude difference: + 750 m; – 650 m.

Schedule: 6 hrs walk approximately.

Munster (370 m) - Schratzmaennele (1,045 m) - Orbey (531 m)

A beautiful hike that combines nature and history, with the discovery of many of the remains of the great war.

From the hotel we will arrive at the site of the unusual swamp of the Etang du Devin.

Finally, we will hike up and take the cable car to Raven Rock summit (1122 m). We will admire the beautiful views of the villages of Bonhomme, Lapoutroie and Orbey especially the Col du Bonhomme, considered by the French as strategic. Then we will descend via the Duschesne Cemetery (where the French war camp was established) to discover the Lac Blanc (glacial origin) before joining Orbey.

Altitude difference: + 950 m; – 950 m

Schedule: we will start walking at 6:00 am approximately.

Orbey (531 m) - Head of Faux (1,219 m) - White Lake (1,058 m) - Orbey (531 m)

One of the most beautiful stages of the crossing of the Vosges. We will pass the edge of three magnificent glacial lakes and the crest trail (GR5) offering splendid views of the Alsatian and Vosges valleys and in the distance of Black Forest and the Alps. Finally, we will cross the Schlucht pass before reaching our Chalet Mountain Hotel located at 1,100 m altitude.

We will spend two nights 2 nights at this Chalet Mountain Hotel.

Altitude difference: + 950 m; – 600 m

Schedule: 6:30 hrs walk approximately.

Orbey (531 m) - Trout Lake (1,065 m) - Paso de Schlucht (1,139 m)

We will start early in the morning around 6:00 am by climbing to the top of Falimont and the Rocks of Martinswand. The intense calm of the early morning will make this experience quite unique. We will have breakfast at an authentic Farmhouse Farm and even visit the farm with the Munster cheese manufacturer.

We will descend to the prestigious glacial cirque of Frankenthal, a national natural reserve with an beautiful swamp and a strange pond with almost black waters.

Hike to the Schaeferthal pass and discover the two glacial cirques of Wormsa and Wormspel, home of to two beautiful mountain lakes: Fischboedle and Schiessrothried.

Hike to the Hohneck through the Wormspel glacial cirque before reaching the hotel via the Col du Falimont (1,290 m) and follow the path of the old tramway on the balcony of the Valley of the Lakes.

Altitude difference: + 700 m; – 700 m Schedule: 5h30 walk approximately

Schlucht pass - the Hohneck (1,363 m)- Schlucht Pass

Explore different peaks and summits and enjoy the spectacular views of the whole Massif des Vosges.

Hotel transfer from Markstein to Grand Ballon and overnight stay in our Mountain Hotel located at 1350 meters at the foot of the Grand Ballon.

Altitude difference: + 750 m; – 690 m.

Schedule: 6: 30 hrs walk approximately.

Schlucht Pass - Kastelberg (1,350 m) - Markstein (1,200 m) - Grand Balloon (highest point of the massif - 1,424 m)

It is the wildest and most beautiful part of the journey. The landscapes are very beautiful with varied vegetation of pines, heather and juniper trees.

Transfer to Markstein.

We will cross the old stubble of Markstein and those of Steinlebach before joining the pass of Oberlauchen (1,211 m). The path follows the ridge to the Petit Ballon to begin to descent to Munster.

End of the hike on Saturday around 16:00 in Munster.

We may explore the Abbey, church, the Albert Schweitzer and the Fecht parks, exhibition in the premises of the Ballons Park  in Munster once we return.

Altitude difference: + 470 m; – 1150 m

Schedule: 5:00 hrs walk approximately.

Markstein (1200m) - Langenfeldkopf (1290m) - Small Balloon (1272m) - Munster (370m)
