Quima Expediciones

Quima Expediciones is a family-run mountain and adventure tourism agency based in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. We are an established company officially recognized by SERNATUR (the Chilean National Tourism Service), complying with the highest tourism standards in Chile.

We specialize in guided ascents to iconic volcanoes, high Andean peaks, and trekking routes across the Atacama Desert and surrounding mountain ranges. Our mountain guiding also embraces cultural experiences, as we ascend with deep respect for the mountains, following the traditions and worldview of the Andean cosmovision.

Quima is truly a family on and off the mountains, with our guides being real family members and close friends. This genuine bond shapes the warm, caring atmosphere we create for every expedition.

Our team includes certified mountain guides, all registered with SERNATUR, and members of both the Chilean Association of Mountain Guides (ACGM) and the National Association of Mountain Guides (ANGM). We have professionals trained under UIMLA (Union of International Mountain Leader Associations) standards, with extensive local knowledge and years of experience in high-altitude expeditions.
