Priiskovy is a village located in the Siberian mountain range of Kuznetsk Alatau, in the South of the region. **It is internationally renowned as an excellent freeride skiing location**, owing to its relative remoteness and isolation that ensures the scenery and terrain remains pristine, untouched and fresh.

For every one of the 5 days we will be skiing from 9am-7pm, ensuring we get the most out of each day.

**We reach the tops of the mountains every morning via snowcats featuring 14-seater cabins.**

There are several mountains that we can choose to ski on each day, with highlights including **Semeynaja (1293m), Stolovaya (1320m), Transvaalskaya (1386m), Ivanovskaya (1391m), Zaozernaya (1657m), Gus (1460m) and Panfilovskaya (1335m).**

We will utilize our expert local knowledge to take you to the most secluded and uncrowded spots in the area, as there is a huge amount of slopes containing **deep, fresh, virgin snow, and vast open spaces** that allow us to ski at our own pace and without a worry in the world.

After 5 days of glorious and breath-taking skiing, we finish our adventure, greatly satisfied at having spent time skiing in one of the more fascinating parts of earth.

Join me on this catskiing week in Siberia (Kuznetsk Alatau), near Priiskovy, Russia, and we will freeride ski down and around some of the best mountains in the country, with **wide open slopes, deep and fresh powder, and tree-lined forests** making for an unforgettable and spectacular scene that provides the perfect backdrop to our skiing.

Priiskovy is a village located in the Siberian mountain range of Kuznetsk Alatau, in the South of the region. It is internationally renowned as an excellent freeride skiing location, owing to its relative remoteness and isolation that ensures **the scenery and terrain remains pristine, untouched and fresh.**

Basing ourselves in Priiskovy for the week, we head out each day for our freeride skiing between 9am and 7pm via snowcats featuring 14-person cabins.

There are several mountains that we can choose to ski on each day, with highlights including **Semeynaja (1293m), Stolovaya (1320m), Transvaalskaya (1386m), Ivanovskaya (1391m), Zaozernaya (1657m), Gus (1460m) and Panfilovskaya (1335m).**

Each slope has distinct characteristics, ensuring that there are constant and new challenges on each one, and **the powder is unbelievably fresh and deep owing to the heavy snowfall this area endures.**

**The smoothness and openness of the slopes is a freeride skier’s dream**, with little vegetation to get in the way and occasional rocky outcrops to navigate.

Due to its isolation and remoteness, population density is very low here, making for a blissful experience all around, with little to no chance of running in to anyone else.

After a full week of skiing we finish our adventure, weary yet delighted at having been able to freeride ski in such exemplary conditions, and in such a special place.

Anastasia, your certified guide, will take you on these thrilling and memorable freeride skiing days in Siberia (Kuznetsk Alatau), near Priiskovy, Russia, a truly epic and awesome place to indulge in freeride skiing, as the wide open spaces and deep, fresh powder provide ideal conditions in this beautiful setting.

Freeride skiing days in Siberia (Kuznetsk Alatau), near Priiskovy, Russia

Join me between January and March for some unique heli-skiing in the **Caucasus** around some of the highest peaks of Europe: **Mount Elbrus (5642m)** and **Mount Kasbek (5033m)**.

The total skiing area is about 2000 square kilometers. An average vertical drop is 800m, the drops can be till 2000m. There is no restriction on landings. The skiing zone begins from 5 till 15 minutes from the hotel.

For the flights we use Eurocopter AS350B3e and Aerospatiale SA315B Lama, which enable skiing in little groups and getting into the most hard-to-reach places.

One guide will take up to 4 clients. One helicopter can operate with 3 groups at once, so the highest possible number of participants is 12.

All the guides have the international certificate **IFMGA / UIAGM** and know the skiing zone perfectly.

All the participants are given all the necessary avalanche equipment and are taught to use it.

To give you an idea on the price, it should cost around 6700€ per person for a 6-day package including the accommodation (4-star hotel), food, airport transfer, 14 hours of flight, the safety equipment (ABS airbag, avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe) and the mountain guiding assistance.

**Have you ever heard of summer skiing on three volcanoes? This is my proposal! Join me on this 8-day adventure in the Russian Kamchatka Peninsula and discover the incredible Viluchinsky, Mutnovsky and Gorely volcanoes!**

Located in far eastern Russia, Kamchatka is famous for being one of the snowiest places as well as one of the most impressive volcanic regions of the planet. The high quality snow, spectacular views and perfect skiing will make this trip the best way to enjoy your summer.

First, we’ll start our expedition by skiing on the **Viluchinsky volcano (7129 ft / 2173 m).** Based south of the Petropavlovsk capital city, this inactive volcano is known for having the best snow conditions on the whole peninsula. Then, we’ll continue by exploring the **Gorely volcano (6,001 ft/ 1,829 m).** Consisting of five overlapping stratovolcanoes, Gorely is one of the most active in southern Kamchatka. And finally, we’ll explore the **Mutnovsky volcano (7,618 ft /2,322 m)**, famous for its huge crater with glaciers, fumarole and boiling mud volcanoes inside. **Please take into account, that depending on weather conditions and other factors, there might be some slight changes to the program.**

Moreover, I recommend this trip to **intermediate or advanced skiers and snowboarders** with backcountry and off-piste experience and bear in mind, that it’s essential to be in good physical condition. **For a more detailed description of the trip, take a look at the itinerary below!**

Don’t forget to book a window seat – in good weather the view of the mountain ranges and volcanoes of Kamchatka is magnificent.

Transfer to Snow Valley mountain hotel, it’ll take us 3 hours; accommodation, gear and clothing check and avalanche training; rest time and hot thermal springs.

Transfer from airport to Petropavlovsk takes 40-50 minutes.

Skitouring on Viluchinsky volcano with ascension in one day (depending on snow and weather conditions).

Elevation gain for the summit – 1900 vertical meters. These days we will use snowmobiles for daily approach.

Accommodation in the mountain hut. On day 6th we return to the hotel and spend another night there.

Moving to the south

Transfer to Petropavlovsk, and then to Pacific Ocean coast.

Enjoying the scenery, Ukha (famous Russian fish soup) and salmon barbecue. Surfing option is available.
