Arrival day for Annapurna Circuit Trek

Today’s morning will start with breakfast and then we will drive to Bhulbhule for about 6 – 7 hours.

After our lunch stop, we will follow the Marsyangdi River until we reach Manang. We will pass by Malaykhu, Mugling, Dumre, Besisahar and more famous spots in Nepal.

The never-ending green views with the local lifestyle of Nepalese people will make your day short.

We will spend our first night at Bhulbhule along the riverside of Marsyangdi.

Drive to Besisahar and to Bhulbhule

We will trek above the Marsyangdi river and after a 1-hour hike, we will cross the small bridge near Ngadi.

Following the uphill trekking trail, we will reach the Bahun Danda village, which lies on the top of the green hills. Bahun Danda is our lunch place since nobody wants to leave this viewpoint earlier.

Descending to the valley from Bahundada, we will go up a steep path to the wall of the rock. After reaching Syange, we will cross the Ghermu Phant and Khani Gaun until we reach Syange Town just after crossing the Bridge over Marsyangdi.   Syange is the best riverside town because of the waterfall and movements of tourists on the Annapurna and Manaslu Circuit Treks.

Syange

Walking on the west shore of the Marsyangdi river today we will catch sight of the deep rocky sides with many waterfalls.

We will pass villages such as Shrichour, Jagat, Chamcha then reach the Tal. The beautiful settlement of the Manang district along the eastern bank of the Marsyangdi River. Overnight stay.

We will trek for around 115 km to Timal and catch sight of the amazing views of the landscapes form Karte, Dharapani, and Bagarchap.

The typical rock houses, the varieties of tropical plants are still the attractions of the valley here. We will reach Timang and stay overnight, passing via Danaqyu settlement after crossing the Marsyangdi River on the hilltop.

Timang is the best place to experience the 8th highest mountain Manaslu and adjoining peak Himal Chuli.

We will trek to Chame. The trail will ascend the river valley passing the Gurung village, then Thonje, reaching Bagarchhap. Extra day for exploration of Manang villages where we have a couple of options for acclimatization. Depending on your interest, we choose the best depending on the weather and get ready for Throng La Pass:

2\. Ice Lake – Highest acclimatization at an elevation of 4620 meters.  
3\. Chonker View Point – Easy and peaceful with a lake at 3800 meters.  
4\. Milarepa Cave – Less popular at an altitude of 4000 meters.

Any of these hikes is the best option for Acclimatization to complete Annapurna Circuit Trek in an easy way. In addition to this, the amazing views you will get from this hiking on your rest day will create more value for your holidays. Scenic Himalayas peak of Annapurna II, III, IV, Tilicho to the West, Chulu West and Chulu East to the North and Gangapurna to the South even 8th highest peak Mt. Manaslu and neighbor Himal Chuli with the deep valley of Manang, Braka and Mungi in the contrast of blue lake will make your day.

Acclimatization day at Manang

The trail leads to Ledder at an altitude of 4200 meters. This is one of the easiest hiking routes of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. We will cross the small town of Tenki Manang, Gunsang, Yak Kharka, and Upper Yak Kharka to reach Ledder.

The trekking trail to Ledder is full of amazing scenes of the Tilicho peak, Gangapurna, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Khangsar Peak, Trisul Peak and many more. In addition to this, you will able to see the 8th highest mountain called Manaslu and it’s adjoining peak Himal Chuli.

The only existing vegetation of this area of Annapurna region is unique with juniper bushes which gives you the clear views of blue sheep, barking dear, wild yaks and most valuable Musk Dear. Overnight stay at Ledder.

Ledder

After walking for about 2 hours, we will reach the Base Camp of Throng La Pass. In this part of the trekking trail, we will cross the Jorsang River with a short descent and hiking on the risky trail on the west side of River. This stone falling part is not long more than 1000.

In the Throng Phedi, we will stop for tea with a long break to catch our breath. This stop offers an amazing view of the high Himalayas and rugged terrains.

Finally, we will start our last push to Throng High Camp, which takes about 1-2 hours. This is the most difficult part of the whole Annapurna Circuit Trek. We will gain a 400-meter elevation over the course of about one hour.

Throng High Camp

Today is the most challenging day of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. Early morning about 4-5 AM we will start our day trekking to Muktinath 3800m, via Throng La pass – 5416m. We will reach the highest point of the Annapurna Circuit Trek in about 3-5 hours of hiking.

We will take a short break at the  Annapurna Circuit Trek pass in Throng La to take photos and enjoy a hot drink.  The picture with the most expensive cup of drinks at the highest point of Annapurna Circuit Trek is another attraction.

After some time enjoying the fascinating scenes of the Himalayas,  we will start to hike down towards the Muktinath which takes around 5 hours.

Thorong La, Highest Point of our Trek

Muktinath is a famous religious place for Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain. Every year thousands of religious people visit the temples from Nepal, India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and more just as a pilgrimage.

Depending on your preference, we can visit the Muktinath Temple complex or take an extra hour to sleep after a successful crossing of Throng La Pass.

After breakfast, we will start our hike towards the biggest town of Annapurna Circuit Trek Jomsom. We will cross the ancient town of Jharkot, Khinga, Eklebhatti and reach Jomsom. Get ready for the toughest walk over the pebbles of the Kaligandaki riverbank with the wind blowing in your face.

With the peaceful trail walking about 2 hours from Eklebhatti close down to Kaligandaki River valley, we will reach the headquarter of the Mustang region. Overnight stay at Thakali Tea House.

Trekking to Jomson

Today we will experience flying in the deepest gorge with the ending of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. This flight from Jomsom to Pokhara is about 35 minutes which offers close views of Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri I with many other peaks.

We also have the option of driving 10 hours to experience the deepest canyon of the world lying between the two gigantic mountain ranges of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna.

You can also spend your time on tour around the Pokhara valley, and visit Devi’s Fall, World Peace Stupa, go boating on Phewa Lake and more.

Both trekking options give us the chance to stop in Naudanda ( Nine Hill ) for lunch.

Trekking from Naudada to Sarangkot is mostly flat downhill. This section might take 2-3 hours. The view of wide and green hills, forests, traditional villages, Phewa Lake and world peace stupa will mark the day.

Kathmandu

*   On the third day of Mohare Danda Trekking Itinerary, we are driving to Pokhara today. The drive by tourist bus that starts early morning will be of more or less 7 hours before we reach Pokhara. Although the drive seems long, it will bring us beautiful scenic landscapes and local towns along the highway.
    
    Driving along beautiful glacial rivers, local towns and enjoying greenery and surrounding middle hills is an incredible experience. Pokhara will welcome us with jaw-dropping view of Annapurna range of the Himalayas, beautiful and peaceful green surroundings and a serene lake.

Kathmandu-Pokhara

The actual trekking part on this trip starts today. But we still need to drive to Galeshwor in Myagdi district to start the trekking on this new trekking trail. About 4 hours of drive to Galeshwor will take us past Nayapul and along the Modi River heading towards Kushma and finally to Beni Bazar.

We will also have a stop at Kusma to visit the highest suspension bridge that falls on our Chitre High Bridge Baglung Trekking Trail. Later we drive to Beni to have our lunch before starting the trek.

The trek Itinerary of Mohare Danda Trek today is short that takes us to Banskharka through beautifully terraced rice and corn fields, local villages and forested area. The walk is only of more or less two hours for the day before we reach the destination to stay on the community lodge managed by local communities. As the itinerary of Mohare Danda Trekking Trail, Today is the first day of Trekking to wards Mohare Hill.

Nagi Village

It is the day to reach the destination spot of this Mohare Danda Trekking adventure. We are trekking to Mohare Danda today starting after breakfast at Nagi. On about 4-6 hours of trekking. We are walking past beautiful trekking trail that brings awesome views of surroundings.

A beautiful view point along the trail, Him Pal Pass that stands at 3098 m, provides a magnificent view of natural surroundings. We eventually reach Mohare Danda to enjoy, usually, a spectacular sunset view. Our overnight stay here again is at the community lodge. Today is the most amazing trekking day in the itinerary of Mohare Danda Trekking.

We are at the highest elevation of this trip at Mohare Danda that lies at the elevation of 3,313 meters above sea level. We enjoy a beautiful sunrise and the Himalayan views early in the morning. The Himalayas peaks in Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu ranges of the Himalayas make our morning definitely a wonderful one.  
On top of the Himalayan views, Mohare Danda provides breathtaking views of the green surroundings.

We take breakfast after the sunrise and get ready to embark on the trekking trail that takes us to Next small village called Fulbari or Danda Kharka to stay overnight today. Danda Kharka and Fulbari both offers the beautiful views of Himalayas, surroundings and sunset as well as sunrise for us. Itinerary of day 6 of Mohare Danda Trekking ends in Fulbari or Danda Kharka.

Danda Kharka

We are trekking to Tikot village today that is a beautiful ethnic Magar settlement. We walk past different beautiful view points of Thula Kharka and Sikha Danda and enjoy the views of wonderful Ramche and Sikha valleys. The trail today winds up and down the hill making the trekking trail an interesting traverse through beautiful surroundings.

On reaching Tikot, we can walk around to explore the cultural magnificence of this beautiful village.   As Itinerary of day 8 of Mohare Danda Trekking is the last full day trekking in the Annapurna Community Lodges Trekking Trail.

Tikot Village

We are about to end our trekking part of this Mohare Danda Trekking adventure. We are on the last day on the mountain trekking trail today while walking to Basari. Baseri is the small town next to the river of KaliGandaki where we start our drive to Pokhara.

A very short trek takes us to Baseri from Tikot Community Village. However the trail is mostly downhill. We suggest you to walk slowest as possible, enjoy the deep valley, villages and hills. With in 3-4 hours of easy hiking we reach the point, where our trekking part of Mohare Danda Community Trekking ends.

We take a jeep ride through the Kaligandaki River valley towards Pokhara via Galeshwor and Beni. We eventually reach Pokhara and check in to our hotel. Rest of the time today in Pokhara is at leisure.

Baseri Trek-Pokhara

We drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara today. About 7 hours of overland journey will take us back to Kathmandu.

Once we reach Kathmandu, rest of the time is at leisure. A wonderful wandering around the streets of Thamel and Ason can be a great way to explore amazing Kathmandu.

Pokhara to Kathmandu

As the final day of the Mohare Danda Trekking trip, it’s time to say good bye or extend the activities. We will transfer you to airport for your final departure flight as per your flight schedule. Mohare Danda Trek from Kathmandu (10 days)

Situated just southeast of the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu, heading on a Ranikot day hike is the perfect way to spend a day in the Kathmandu Valley!

After meeting you at your hotel, we’ll make the 22-kilometer (13.7-mile) drive to Suryabinayak. From here, we will start hiking up through the thick jungle toward Ranikot pass.

As we go, there will be the chance to stop at several scenic vistas, getting some great views out over the Kathmandu Valley and toward the snow-capped peaks of the mighty Himalayas.

After we arrive at the Ranikot pass, we will take a bit more time to enjoy the stunning views before descending to the traditional and beautiful village of Panauti.

Here, we will get a chance to meet the local people, learn a bit about their culture and enjoy a traditional lunch. We will also visit a Hindu temple while we explore the town.

After we’ve finished eating, we will transfer back to Kathmandu and say our goodbyes.
