##### Throughout the Caucasus mountain range there is an assortment of incredible peaks. And on this week long expedition you will be able to climb one of the range’s most glorious peaks: Mount Kazbek (5,033m).

For **7 amazing days**, one of which is a reserve day in case of bad weather or insufficient **acclimatization,** you will get to scale **Mount Kazbek**. However, that is not the only peak you will get to climb on this mountaineering adventure. You will also get to climb one of the nearby **3,500 metre summits for training** and acclimatization purposes, as well as **Mount Ortsveri (4,200m)**. Also add on the time you spend in **Stepantsminda**, the **Sabertse Pass (3,000m)**, the **Betlemi hut (3,653m)** and the **7 kilometre long Gergeti glacier**, and you end up with an unforgettable trip.

Located on the **border between Russia and Georgia**, **Mount Kazbek** is widely considered to be one of the most impressive mountains in the **Caucasus**. The mountain looms large and majestic. And when you reach its summit, you will have the opportunity to enjoy some breathtaking views.

As is the case with any **5,000 metre plus mountain**, climbing **Mount Kazbek** can be arduous. As a result, participants should be in **good enough physical condition to make the climb**. Some **prior experience** is important as well.

After arriving at Tblisi airport, we will go to Stepmantsminda. From there, we will hike to the Sabertse Pass (3,000m), where we will spend the night in a tent.

For the purposes of acclimatization, we will climb one of the nearby 3,500 metre peaks before spending the night in a guesthouse.

Today we will take a transfer to an altitude of 2,100 metres. From there, we will trek to the Betlemi hut. We will either spend the night in the hut or a tent.

Today we will climb to the summit of Mount Ortsveri after ice climbing training on the Gergeti glacier. We will spend the night either in the Betlemi hut or in a tent.

We will climb to the summit of Mount Kazbek and then return to Stepantsminda, where we will spend the night in a guesthouse.

Mount Kazbek, Caucasus, 7 Day Guided Ascent

**For a whole week, I would like to take you to the summit of the beautiful Mount Tetnuldi (4,858m).**

Located in the **Caucasus mountain range** in the wonderful country of **Georgia, Mount Tetnuldi** is a spectacular peak. And when climbing a mountain as large as **Tetnuldi**, a lot of preparation has to be done. As a result, the first few days of this trip will revolve around proper **acclimatization**. This will ensure that you do not experience any altitude sickness during the ascent. Hence making your summit experience an enjoyable one.

In order to achieve proper acclimatization, we will make our way to the capital of the **Svaneti region**, **Mestia**. From there, we will trek to the **Chizhdi pass (3,100m)** and climb **Mount Laila (4,005m)**. This mini expedition will take two days. Typically, this would make a great trip on its own, but on this adventure, it’s just the beginning!

After you’ve been properly acclimatized, we will begin our ascent of **Mount Tetnuldi**. The climb will involve a ski lift, some trekking, and ice climbing practice on a **glacier**. And finally, when we reach the summit, you will get to enjoy the fruits of your labor. You will be able to look out, far beyond at the **Caucasus**, before we descend back to **Mestia**.

There will be some challenges during this ascent, which is often the case when scaling mountains of **Tetnuldi’s** magnitude. As a result, participants should be in **good physical condition** and should have some **prior mountaineering experience**.

After arriving at the airport. You will be picked up and taken to Mestia. From there we will hike to the Chizhdi pass (3,100m) and spend the night in a tent for acclimatization purposes.

Today we will enjoy a training climb to the summit of Mount Laila, which is the highest peak in the Svaneti ridge. We will spend the night in a tent.

Descend to Mestia for a rest day

Today we will transfer to the top station of Tetnuldi ski lift (2,000m). After that, we will trek over the Amaranth pass to the glacier (3,700m) at the foot of Mount Tetnuldi. We will spend the night in a tent.

During this day, we will practice snow and ice climbing on the glacier. After that, we will climb to the shoulder of Mount Tetnuldi (4,300m) before returning to base camp where we will spend the night in a tent.

We will climb to the summit of Mount Tetnuldi. Afterwards, we will descend to Mestia, where we will spend the night in a guesthouse.

##### Definitely one of the most famous peaks in the Caucasus, Mount Ushba (4,710m) is a great peak to climb. And for 10 days, I would like to guide you to its summit.

Along with the ascent of **Ushba**, on this trip you will also get to climb another wonderful peak in the **Caucasus, Mount Tetnuldi (4,870m)**. The purpose of this climb will be to get you **properly acclimatized**. There is an enormous **glacier** near **Tetnuldi**, where we will practice **ice and snow climbing**. Along with those **2 peaks and glacier**, you will also get to cross over the **Amaranth pass**. Other highlights of this trip include **Mestia**, where we will spend several nights in a guesthouse, the village of **Becho**, and the **Gul glacier**.

During the climb of **Mount Ushba**, we will be taking the **Gabriel Khergiani route**. This well known and popular route was one of the first routes taken to the peak’s summit. Another great part of the **Mount Ushba** climb is that you will get to enjoy sleeping in a **bivvy bag** in a **bivouac** at an altitude of **4,000 meters**. The views you will get from the **bivouac**, just like the ones you will get from the summit, are tremendous.

Participants on this trip should have some **prior mountaineering experience**. It is also important to be in **good physical condition**.

After we pick you up from the Tbilisi airport, we will transfer you to the top station of the Tetnuldi ski lift (2,000m). After that we will hike over the Amaranth pass to the glacier (3,700m) which rests at the foot of Mount Tetnuldi. We will spend the night in a tent at our base camp.

Today we will climb to the summit of Mount Tetnuldi. Afterwards, we will descend to Mestia, where we will spend the night in a guesthouse.

We will transfer from Mestia to the village of Becho. After that, we will hike to the Gul glacier base (3,000m), which rests at the foot of Mount Ushba. We will spend the night in a tent.

Today we will start our ascent of Ushba along the Gabriel Khergiani route until we reach a bivouac at 4,000 meters. We will spend the night in bivvy bags.

Today we will descend from the bivouac to the Gul glacier then hike to the village of Becho and transfer to Mestia where we will spend the night in a guesthouse.
