I will guide you on this highly enjoyable and fun-filled rock climbing trip in the Destel Canyon, close to Toulon, France, where we will **climb, walk and abseil around the humongous rock faces of the canyon**, testing our climbing abilities and admiring the epic and awesome views out over the tranquil French countryside and the Mediterranean Sea in the distance.

**The Destel Canyon is located in the South of France, just 10km from the city of Toulon**, and is an immensely popular location to undertake rock climbing. It’s proximity to the French Riviera means many people visit for day trips to indulge in outdoor activities.

Over the course of this trip we will endeavor to **increase your rock climbing skills, techniques and confidence**, with the added bonus of doing some walking and abseiling along the way.

The routes, courses and obstacles we encounter are diverse and of differing levels of difficulty, meaning **this trip can be undertaken by anyone with previous rock climbing experience, from beginners to experts.**

There are 2 main routes to tackle, with the first taking us to **the castle of Evenos** on both an aerial and underground route, and the second entails us going back down through the gorge and the **gigantic natural vats caused by erosion.**

Quintessential French landscape, scenery and terrain surround the gorge, adding to the tranquil and idyllic setting, and a particular highlight for many is the **sublime and gorgeous views out to the Mediterranean Sea.**

By the end of this trip you will have improved your rock climbing and fallen even more in love with this superb part of France.

Join me on this charming, delightful, fun and enjoyable 1+ day rock climbing tour in Sainte Baume, France, as we **indulge in a wide variety of challenging and exciting climbs on an array of different rock faces and surfaces**, all in the truly unbelievable and special setting of the Southwest of France, with the lush countryside stretching out beneath us to the Mediterranean Sea.

**Sainte Baume (1147m) is a mountain ridge located in Southwest France, approximately 35km from Marseille**, and has increasingly become a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts wanting to indulge in activities such as rock climbing, with its proximity to Marseille helping immensely.

Every day we will head out to the ridge and explore every nook, cranny and spot possible within the mountain, with **innumerable rock climbing locale’s to be climbed.**

We will be aiming to take your rock climbing to the next level on the wide array of climbing routes on offer to us, with **each providing unique and distinct characteristics.**

The views from Sainte Baume are absolutely breath-taking, with lush green forests and fields stretching out in to the distance beneath, **the quintessentially French landscape making for excellent photo opportunities.**

**Southern France** is a **magical place**. It is famous for its dazzling sceneries and breathtaking sunsets. But, it also guards a very special place amongst rock climbers. As it offers unrivalled **rock climbing routes** and incredible paths.

So prepare yourself for a **mesmerizing place**. Join one of our certified guides on this climbing day around the dry canyon of **Destel near Toulon**. And enjoy hypnotizing views of the **Mediterranean coast**.

The fantastic routes here combines the **best hiking, climbing and rappelling**. **Abseiling** is particularly thrilling, as you’ll find different **obstacles**. Also, it will allow you to **uncovered marvellous spots** almost impossible to reach otherwise.

To reach **Destel** we’ll take a short hike that will lead us to the canyon. Thereon, we’ll enjoy the most fun rappelling. There’s even a **cave** carved to the wall that we can explore. And once we reach its bottom we can either head to the **castle of Evenos**, which will take us to an underground route. Or we could go towards the **gorges of Destel**. If we chose the latter, we can visit the famous **natural vats** created by erosion.

Furthermore, this is a **private trip**. Thus, you will get a certified guide **exclusively for you and your group**. It also means your guide will be with you at all times, **making sure you are safe and enjoying your time!**
