Description

Experience the impressive Sandy Headwall on an incredible ice climbing trip to Mount Hood, Oregon. Located in the Cascade Range of the USA, this path is ideal for adventurous climbers looking to enjoy a stunning location. Come with me to conquer this incredible peak in the Northwest.

In order to reach Mount Hood’s peak, this particular path can be climbed by riding a snowcat up to 8.500 feet and then starting up towards the Illumination Saddle. We’ll then cross the Reid Glacier and climb over the lower part of Yocum Ridge. That will give us access to the Sandy Glacier. Then, we’ll head towards Queens Chair and climb several pitches while we reach for the summit. The views from up there are breathtaking.

We’ll head down through the South Side and end the trip at the Timberline Lodge.

Sandy Headwall is seldomly climbed and is quite strenuous, with deep snow and alpine ice conditions. This is why this trip is recommended for advanced climbers in a good physical condition looking to put their skills into practice.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
