Description

Tucked into the stunning San Juan Mountains on the western slopes of the majestic Rockies, Telluride is home to some of the best ice climbing in the world!

Join one of our local and knowledgeable guides and we will take you out to some of the best spots in this incredibly beautiful part of Colorado.

Whether you have previous experience or are new to ice climbing, we will go out and climb the perfect route.

For beginners, we will likely opt for the small hydro-electric town of Ames, where there are plenty of short routes perfectly suited for learning the sport.

We'll take more advanced climbers either to the Ice Hose in Ames or to the iconic Bridal Veil. Both routes provide plenty of challenges as well as rewards.

Regardless of where we go, our guides will teach you more about the sport and help you hone the skills. By the time our day (or half-day, depending on your time limitations) is finished, you'll be ready to head out and try the sport again next winter.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for this fun, scenic and informative day of ice climbing, just outside of Telluride, Colorado!

If you like the look of this trip, but were looking for something a little bit different, then we think you may also enjoy our day of backcountry skiing in Bear Creek, also near Telluride!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
