Description

On the border area between Italy and Austria, Monte Coglians is the highest peak in the Carnic Alps. At 2,780 meters above sea level, this emblematic mountain is a very popular destination among mountaineers around the globe. If you’ve never been there, do not miss this chance!

This mountain can be accessed via the south face and the north face. On this opportunity, I invite you to reach the summit through the via ferrata option on the north face. With the help of our equipment, we’ll head for an exciting and challenging climb up a beautiful and emblematic peak.

The program lasts around 7-8 hours and we’ll face an elevation gain of 1,400 meters. Also, we may find some obstacles on the way. Therefore, this program is for advanced participants. It is very important to have background experience and to be physically fit. Of course, I will be there to help at all times.

Because safety is my top priority, I have specialized in Mountain Rescue and I work in the Helicopter Rescue Services.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
