Description

Would you like to enjoy a unique ski touring adventure in Russia? Then join me on an exhilarating 6-day program in Luzhba, in Western Siberia!

Siberia is a prime location for winter sports adventures. With its fresh snow, untouched slopes, and sparsely populated areas, it is a unique place for ski touring. Luzhba is a small train station right in the center of Siberia that boasts nearby mountain huts and stunning skiing opportunities.

On this program, we will spend a full week in this remote region enjoying the pristine powder slopes. Every day, we will set out to discover a new face of the Siberian mountains. Then, in the evenings, we will enjoy warming our hands by the fire, relaxing in a Russian sauna (banya) and replenishing ourselves with delicious meals.

In order to join this adventure in Siberia, you must have prior ski touring experience. Additionally, a good fitness level is a must. Of course, I will be there to help and guide you every step of the way.

Itinerary

Day 1: Moscow - Luzhba

Evening or night flight from Moscow to Abakan. Then transfer from Abakan to railway station Biskamzha. From Biskamzha station to Luzhba station by train.

Day 2 to 6: Ski touring days

Day 8: Luzhba - Abakan

Early departure from Luzhba to Abakan. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Morning flight to Moscow

Mountain Guide

Mountains and work in the mountains are major part of my life. I am an IFMGA mountain guide as well as a member of the Kyrgyzstan Mountain Guides Association (KMGA). I started my career in 2006 and it was a logical extension of my mountaineering activities. I organize ascents, ski-touring and free ride programs for my clients in the Caucasus
(including Krasnaya Polyana), Pamir, Tien-Shan, Siberia, Ural, Kola Peninsula. I have climbing experience in the Alps, Alaska and the Chinese Pamirs.

I am a certified mountain rescuer. My priorities are the client's safety along with the success of the ascent.
