Type of Trip
Join me for a backcountry hut-to-hut ski tour in the High Tatras Mountains. The range is located at the border between PolandSlovakiaCarpathian
The best time to ski here is from January to March. In fact, the Tatras have quite similar sceneries as the European Alps, they are just less high. Besides, they are less crowded, which will ensure a pleasant traverse.
The set up is excellent for ski touring and offers a lot of diversity in the ski runs: open ridges, tree skiing, gullies and couloirs.
The city of Levoca is a historic town, one of the most beautiful in Europe. During the day spent here (day 9) we will have the chance to rest and relax in the water park.
You’ll find here a 10-day program. I can of course adapt it based on the time you have and the snow / weather conditions.
We can also extend the program to include the climb and descent of the highest peak of the High Tatras: Mount Gerlach. To do this, you need to be good skiers and alpinists. Check out the program for an ascent of Mount Gerlach here
A fantastic ski experience, far from the beaten tracks and the crowd… connecting with nature and the wild! Get in touch with me and let’s discuss about your ski touring wishes and how I can satisfy them.

What happens if I need to cancel the trip?
If you decide to cancel, you’ll get a 100% refund (minus fees) if the cancellation is notified up to 60 days before the start of the tour, a 75% refund (minus fees) if you cancel between 59 and 30 days before the start of the tour, and a 50% refund if you cancel between 29 and 21 days before the start of the tour. If you cancel less than 21 days before the first day of the tour, you won’t receive a refund.Take into account, however, that if accommodation, flights or transfers were included in the trip you booked, then a different policy may apply as the guide will be bound by the provider’s cancellation policy.
What happens if the guide cancels the trip because of bad weather/unsuitable conditions?
If bad weather or unsuitable conditions force the guide to cancel the trip, he or she will: a) propose a similar activity at a different place where conditions are better, or b) propose to postpone the activity until a later date, or c) cancel. If you refuse option a), our cancellation policy will apply. Please note, however, that the call to cancel a trip due to bad weather can only be made by the guide (not the client).
What happens if the guide doesn’t show up or cancels for personal reasons?
If the guide cancels for reason of injury or other, you will get a 100% refund on your trip.

About the Guide
IFMGA / UIAGM Mountain guide
I was born in 1969 in Ostrava. When I was a child, my parents and I spent most of our free time and weekends in our cottage in Beskydy in the countryside. I started skiing when I was very young, we went to Moravian and Slovak ski resorts. In 2010 I successfully passed my IFMGA exams and I became an official mountain guide. I’m also a photographer and a graphic designer. I’m guiding my friends and clients mainly in the Tatras Mountains. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discover this beautiful region, during the summer or the winter. We can go hiking, climbing, mountaineering, skiing...together.
