Description

I will guide you on this 11-day trek up to Mt. Everest Base Camp in Nepal, a relative sprint compared to most ascents to the camp, as we experience the best that this trail has to offer in a brisk yet respectful manner, admiring the epic and dramatic landscapes of the Everest region and learning about the local culture, before completing the immensely satisfying achievement of reaching the base camp.

Mt. Everest is one of the most famous places on earth, owing to its status as the highest mountain on earth, standing at 8,848m tall. It remains one of the great bucket-list items for many, with thousand of people tackling both the base camp and summit each year.

After meeting in Kathmandu on day 1, we then head straight to Lukla and begin trekking to Phakding.

On day 3 we then head up to the gorgeous town of Namche Bazaar, before an in-built acclimatization day on day 4 allows us to ready our bodies for the intense and condensed trek up to base camp.

The subsequent 3 days are challenging yet rewarding days full of hard hiking, as we reach the base camp on day 7, a highly satisfying achievement for all.

Day 8 contains the undoubted highlight of the trip, as we rise bright and early in order to get to Kalapatthar (5,550m) to see the glorious sunrise over Mt. Everest and the surrounding mountains. This truly is a special moment, with the sweeping panoramic views over the mountains taking the breath away.

After reaching the highest point on the trip at Pheriche (5,644m), the final 3 days of the trip are spent re-tracing our steps all the way back to Kathmandu.

This is a fantastic trip for anyone who wants to make it to Everest Base Camp in a tidy, efficient manner.
