Description

The Dharma Hill Trek in the Lower Everest region takes you on an off-the-beaten-path adventure in Nepal with impressive views of some stunning Himalayan peaks, like Mount Everest. Join us on this 12-day trip and discover this newly opened trekking route, in a remote region of this beautiful country.

We will meet in Kathmandu on the first day and we will take a flight next day from the capital city to Phaplu. From there we will drive to Nele Bazaar, where our trek begins on the third day. We will reach a maximum altitude of 4300 meters and we will be walking from 5 to 6 hours every day. 

Along the trail, you will discover beautiful landscapes of terraced farm fields, traditional villages, green hills, rivers, lakes and the majestic view of the Himalayan mountains! You will be amazed by the view of mountains, like Mount Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Mera and other Himalayan snow-capped summits!

The route goes up and downhill crossing the Dudhkosi River and passing by several towns and villages. The lower section of the Solukhumbu region is home to different traditions, culture and people, like the Rai, the Chhetri, the Tamang, Sherpa, Magar and many  more station, each with their own special lifestyle and festivities.

The Dharma Hill trekking is also known as “Lower Everest Eco Trek”. It follows a gradual progression. You will be able to enjoy the view of the impressive central and eastern Himalayan mountain range. The Suke danda, Dharma Danda and Ghyangkharka peaks are best viewpoints of this trip.

The best time for the Dharma Hille trek is during autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May). Spring offers colorfoul views and beautiful rhododendron flowers.

Two nights hotel in Kathmandu with bed and breakfast.

Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu - Transfer to Hotel

Day 2: Flight Kathmandu-Phaplu / Drive to Nele Bazaar

Day 3: Trek To Suke Danda, from where you can enjoy beautiful mountain views and landscapes

Day 4: Trek to Kurima (2550m a.o.s.l), a beautiful Sherpa village

Day 5: Trek to Chitre (2400m)

Day 6: Trek to Ghyangkharka (3612m) via Dharma Peak

This is the greatest view point over the eastern and central Himalaya mountain range

Day 7: Trek to Sanam Sherpa village

Day 8: Trek to Bung, a beautiful Kulung Rai village

Day 9: Trek to Sotang Bazaar

Day 10: Drive to Pattale Bazaar (2840m), on a private jeep

Day 11: Hike to Patttale viewpoint (Mt Everest view)- Drive to Kathamandu

We will hike to Pattale viewpoint, where you will enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Himalayan mountains, including Mount Everest.

Day 12: Transfer to Kathmandu Airport
