The trek begins in Huaripampa valley and terminates in the Ulta Valley within the national park. On route you will pass Punta Union located at 4700m and also Punta Yanayacu at 4860m. Our final camp is close to an old avalanche site and along the trek will we visit glacial lakes, hot springs and enjoy some of the most breathtaking mountain vistas on the planet.
Cordillera Blanca is the mountain range that comprises the Huascaran National Park, well known for its high altitude hiking. The national park contains Peru’s highest peak, Herado Huascaran Sur (6768m), which we will dominate the horizon during our trek. Our hike will encompass many flat valleys perfect of hiking that allow one to take in the surroundings.
I can’t wait to share this stunning landscape with you, I have an intimate knowledge of the region and it is my privilege to guide you through its wild and majestic lands. Our trekking route goes through almost pristine terrain with hardly any settlements or other people along the way so we can leave modernity behind!

Mountain Guide
IFMGA/UIAGM Mountain Guide from Perú
I started working on the mountains when I was still a college student, working in climbing and trekking tours.
This early passion quickly developed into a profession, for climbing and trekking in the Andes. I learned with experienced German, Canadian and Swiss guides, among others.
I like to share my experience and expertise acquired in expeditions around the world, and show visitors the beauty of the Peruvian Andes in the Cordillera Blanca, and all along my country.
I am a certified IFMGA-UIAGM mountain guide and member of the Association of Mountain Guides of Peru (AGMP).
I speak Spanish, English and Quechua.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
