Description

There is no feeling quite like hiking through the sublime Himalayan wilderness and the Mount Everest Base Camp trek is no exception!

Over the course of 14 days, we will make our way from the bustling Nepalese capital of Kathmandu on to the base camp of the world's highest peak and back.

As we go, we will visit numerous Himalayan villages, including the de facto Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar. In each of these incredible towns, we will meet local people, visit monasteries and learn about the area's rich culture.

Among the cultural highlights we will experience are the Sherpa museum and climbing school in Namche Bazaar as well as the iconic and scenic Tengboche monastery, a little further along.

The cultural component is just one of the many fascinating facets of this trip. The other, of course, is the stunning scenery and diverse landscapes.

As we go, we will enjoy myriad views of some of the country's most iconic mountains, including Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Khumbila, Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, Cho-yu, Pumori and, of course, Mount Everest.

We will also pass through a plethora of diverse and incredible landscapes from thick rhododendron, magnolia and pine forests to the stark and barren moraines at the end of the Khumbu glacier.

Watching the landscape morph each day from lush and verdant to gray and imposing is really quite something.

The climax of the trip will finally be arriving at Everest Base Camp and enjoying the stunning views of the mountain from the iconic spot.

The following morning will be equally sublime as we climb a nearby mountain and enjoy incredible views of the sunrising over the world's highest mountain.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for this challenging but scenic and exciting 14-day Everest Base Camp trek from Kathmandu!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
