Passing through some of the most incredible scenery in all of Nepal and yielding the best views of Mount Everest and other iconic Himalayan peaks along the way, the Gokyo Chola Pass trek is the perfect way to see this stunning part of the world!

The adventure begins shortly after we meet up in Kathmandu. The following morning, we fly straight to Lukla, where we check out all of our gear and begin trekking.

Over the course of the next week or so, we will hike along rushing rivers, through verdant valleys, up steep cliffs and past alpine meadows. Every day will bring us new and incredible sights, from start to finish.

Early on, just as we are exiting the cultural hub of Namche Bazaar, we’ll get some of the best possible views of Mount Everest.

We’ll also spend time exploring the stunning Gokyo Lakes and get the chance to hike up to Gokyo Ri (5,333 m). From here, we’ll get some great views out into the Gokyo Valley before continuing on our trek to the foot of Mount Everest.

Among the many highlights of the trip will be arriving at Everest Base Camp. We will spend a few hours here enjoying the views and the ambiance before continuing on with the trek.

Immediately after the camp, we will  climb up to Kala Patthar (5,545 m) and enjoy some more panoramic views of the likes of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and many more.

From here, the trek begins to wind down as we slowly return to Lukla and then Kathmandu. (See below for detailed itinerary).

We had an amazing Mardi Himal trek. We booked last minute and we were dealt with promptly and professionally. The trek was fully customisable including a stay in a lovely hotel and bus rides to and from Kathmandu. Our guide Amir was awesome and made our trek everything we wanted. Thank you so much!
