Description

The Bernina is a magnificent massif located in the Swiss alps, north of Italy. It is one of the highest ranges in the Alps. And within the range, it is Piz Palü (3901m) the highest peak, and the one we will visit.

Due to its almost perfect shape and incredible beauty and colors, we also call this stunning massif the silver castle of the Alps. There are many amazing places we can go to on this trip. So four days might just be enough to see all its highlights.

Our meeting point upon arrival will be Surlej, a very famous ski resort. Then we’ll head towards the dazzling lake Lej Alv. After enjoying such a wonderful sight, I’ll take you to the Chapütschin mountain (3359m). Finally we’ll stay at Coazhütte.

The following day we’ll explore Piz Sella (3506m) and ski tour over mesmerizing glaciers. By the end of the day we’ll reach the Marinelli hut (2813 m).

Next day’s adventures will be equally impressive. We’ll ski tour to Piz Palü, where we have two options. We could either, ski downhill to the Boval hut enjoying top quality snow. Or, we can take the Fourcla Bellavista route, through a patch know as the Labyrith, until we reach the Boval hut. Both options are dazzling. And in both options you’ll see glaciers and enjoy steep descents.

And on our last day we’ll head from the Boval hut to the Fourcla Misaun and the Piz Morteratsch (3751m). After that, we’ll get to ski downhill to the Val Roseg and then to the train station in Pontresina.

I love the mountains and they have been my destiny and my passion for more than 20 years now!
Everyday I feel a big gratitude to work in this outstanding landscapes and being able to inspire my clients - we always have a good time together and make it a unique experience!

I am based in Schaffhausen, a nice historic town in the north of Switzerland and the area of lake constance. From here we have all options, whether it be one-day-trips to eastern- and central alps or whole journeys to foreign countries.

My second base is the small town of Arolla, Valais - all high peaks of the alps are around this area. It is exactly between Zermatt and Chamonix, a perfect place to be...I love the contrast of the different cities!

Together with my team and friends from BERIE alpine school we want to invite you to join our climbs and skiing trips or our trekking trips around the world. In high altitude mountains, I have lot of experience, working many years in this game with well-established partners, for example as guide on Mount Everest (Summit success 2003 with 7 members).

In my program you will find fine mountain journeys with or without skis. We will offer you not just the climb and a summit successes! Mountains are not gyms!

To get in touch with the local people and to understand their way of life and history is an important part of my philosophy.
