Join me for this epic four-day trek through the pristine wilderness of Peru’s Cordillera Huayhuash!
Our journey begins with a scenic, private shuttle ride from Huaraz to Pocpa, from which we will begin our adventure. Along the way, we will pass through the town of Chiquian, which is regionally and nationally famous for its cheeses.
Over the course of this four-day trek we will hike through a canyon and along over several mountain ridges, all while taking in the sublime beauty of the region.
The first leg of our hike takes us through this limestone-walled canyon along a beautiful river. The next day, we begin hiking over the passes and enjoying the incredible views, everywhere we look.
On the third day, we will camp next to a turquoise lagoon and hike up to a viewpoint, which will afford us absolutely stunning views of the snowcapped peaks of several of the area’s most iconic 6,000ers.
No high level of skill is required for this adventure, but due to the sustained nature of the hiking, we recommend all participants to be physically fit enough to walk six hours each day.
So what are you waiting for? Book now for this intermediate and exhilarating hiking expedition through some of the most beautiful nature on the planet!
If you like the looks of this trip, then we think you will also enjoy our eight-day trek in the Cordillera Huayhuash as well!
