Description

Famous due to its beauty and its distinctive shape, the Alpamayo is an impressive mountain located in the Cordillera Blanca of the Peruvian Andes. With 5,947 meters above sea level, it is one of the peaks that belong to the Santa Cruz Massif and offers several different routes for climbers around the world.

For this trip, we’ll meet in the city of Huaraz and drive across the Ancash department to Cashapampa, the trailhead of our ascent. If you are interested, you can read a detailed itinerary of the trip below.

The difficulty of the Alpamayo climb depends on the weather and the snow conditions. In general, the level of this climb is difficult and requires a very good physical condition and prior mountaineering experience.

Are you coming to Peru? You can’t miss this 6-day climb to the most beautiful mountain in the range. Send your request now. I will be happy to guide you to the top of the amazing Alpamayo.

Percy executed our plan well. He came up with several options after Huascaran was deemed unclimbable. I will be back to climb with Percy again. He runs a great trip.
