Climbing Huascaran

Explore-share.com helps you book your next Mountain Climbing trip in Huascaran.

The Nevado Huascaran is the highest peak in Peru and the fourth highest peak in all South America. As part of the Huascaran National Park and the Cordillera Blanca, this mountain offers a challenging ascent with different routes. You can reach Huascaran’s summit by its north peak or via its southern one at 6768 meters, which is more demanding. Due to its altitude people usually need an acclimatization trek. Do you dare to climb the highest peak of the country? Find the best program in our selection of mountain climbing trips here below. Explore-Share only promotes trips led by certified mountain guides.

Ascent to Huascaran South Face in 6 days

Eric from Peru Expeditions is a fabulous, safe, and conscientious Tour Operator. He chose an incredible guide for us (Darwin) who was highly esteemed by every guide we met at every point along the journey-the respect of one’s peers speaks for itself! We were very well supported, always had perfect timing with seeing sunrises, beating “the crowd” to our destinations, and had ample food. The Peruvian mountains are stunningly beautiful- I’m ready to go back again already! Book with Eric - he’s going to take good care of you.

Nevado Huascaran 6-Day Guided Ascent

Octavio wss injured and we ended up with Hector instead. He is new, but is very friendly and hard working. I would acclimatize more than the stated 3 days at one of the lagoons if you want to increase your chance at success. Communication was lacking a little prior to the trip with no contact until the day before the trip. Overall the crew was great and went above and beyond my expectations.
