Are you looking for a relatively easy climb in the beautiful Cordillera Blanca of Peru? Do you want to properly acclimatize on a gorgeous peak in order to tackle one of the larger and more challenging peaks in the range? Then you’ll love this 3-day climbing adventure that will take you to the summit of Urus Central (5,495m).
Located in the Ishinca Valley, the Urus Peak is full of wonderful views. And, the snowy surface makes the climbing experience something truly magical, particularly from the summit.
Our journey will begin in Huaraz. From there, we will go to Pashpa and then on to the Ishinca Base Camp (4,350m). We will spend the next two nights at the camp, where you can explore and enjoy some great views, both day and night. On the second day of the trip, we will climb up to the summit of Urus before returning to the base camp. Some of the peaks you’ll be able to see from the summit include Palcaraju, Tocllaraju, Copa, Akilpo and more. On the final day of the trip, we will return to Pashpa before heading back to Huaraz.
While Urus is not a technically challenging mountain, it is recommended that you still have some prior climbing experience. You should also be in good physical condition.
If you are looking for a 5,000 plus meter peak in the Cordillera Blanca to climb, a mountain that will prepare you for other, bigger peaks in the area, this is the trip for you. To join us, please send a request. We look forward to hearing from you and guiding you.
We also offer a 2-day climb of Vallunaraju, which you can enjoy here.

An extraordinary expérience with Pablo and Alex, two fantastic guides (and now friends for life) from Huaras, Peru, who are at the same time extremely professional and incredebly flexible. We reached the summit on day 8 to benefit from a good weather window. My heurt is full of gratitude for the who le expérience and the magical encounters I was blessed with during that expedition. Probably amongst the very best memories in my entire life. Thank you si much, guys! And see you soon for new adventures 😛🔥❤️😊

The guide did the absolute minimum he could possibly do. The food provided was definitely not enough for what we were doing. This was already a fast itinerary and he cut it short by two more days. It made it extremely dangerous for us as clients. 2 of the 5 of us had to get flown off the mountain by helicopter due to edema because we didn’t acclimate properly. The guide then lied on social media and claimed 100% success to the summit. He really is a snake. He only cared about cutting everything and doing it as cheap as possible, most likely just to make a few more bucks. If this was a service offered in the U.S., there would’ve been a lawsuit. He should never guide this trip ever again for the pure safety of the clients.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
