Description

A fantastic peak in the Ancash province of Peru, Yanapaccha (5,460m), makes for a great climb. And on this 3-day adventure, we are happy to take you to the peak’s glorious summit.

Positioned between a number of 6,000 meter plus peaks, the summit of Yanapaccha, which is part of the Huandoy Massif, will provide you with stunning, panoramic views of the Cordillera Blanca.

Our trip will begin in Huaraz. From there, we will go to Kilometro 42 before arriving at the Campo Morrena, where we will spend the night. On the following day, from the camp, we will climb up to the summit of the mountain before returning to the Campo Morrena for the night. On the third and final day of the trip, we will return to Huaraz.

While not an excessively difficult climb, scaling Yanapaccha does still require some previous mountaineering experience. You should also be in good physical condition.

There are a number of amazing peaks to choose from in the Cordillera Blanca in Peru. However, Yanapaccha is definitely one of the best, and a perfect warm-up climb for the bigger, 6,000 meter plus peaks in the area. To enjoy this 3-day climb, please send a request. We have no doubt you’ll have a great time.

We also offer a 2-day climb of Vallunaraju that you can enjoy here.

An extraordinary expérience with Pablo and Alex, two fantastic guides (and now friends for life) from Huaras, Peru, who are at the same time extremely professional and incredebly flexible. We reached the summit on day 8 to benefit from a good weather window. My heurt is full of gratitude for the who le expérience and the magical encounters I was blessed with during that expedition. Probably amongst the very best memories in my entire life. Thank you si much, guys! And see you soon for new adventures 😛🔥❤️😊

The guide did the absolute minimum he could possibly do. The food provided was definitely not enough for what we were doing. This was already a fast itinerary and he cut it short by two more days. It made it extremely dangerous for us as clients. 2 of the 5 of us had to get flown off the mountain by helicopter due to edema because we didn’t acclimate properly. The guide then lied on social media and claimed 100% success to the summit. He really is a snake. He only cared about cutting everything and doing it as cheap as possible, most likely just to make a few more bucks. If this was a service offered in the U.S., there would’ve been a lawsuit. He should never guide this trip ever again for the pure safety of the clients.
