  • Spend a full week skiing on the isolated slopes surrounding the Boulder hut.

  • Marvel at the beauty and vastness of the Canadian Rockies of British Columbia.

  • Spend time learning about avalanche skills during the AST2 course.

For a full week, I would like to guide you on a ski touring adventure at the Boulder hut in the stunning Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada.

Remote and perfectly positioned for some of the best views of the Canadian Rockies, the Boulder hut is a fantastic place to escape. Moreover, the ski touring opportunities are as plentiful and varied as they are thrilling and memorable. Also, the lodging conditions at the Boulder hut are wonderfully comfortable. With soft beds, warm food and great views, you will be in a consistent state of joy.

There is another amazing aspect to this 7 day trip, and that is the AST2 avalanche skills training course. The AST2 course will cover a lot of important topics. Those topics will prove helpful not only during this trip, but in future skiing adventures you may have. The course will take place during the mornings and evenings. Thus giving you the afternoons to enjoy the slopes and spectacular terrain!

Finally, yet another great addition to this trip is the scenic helicopter ride you will get to take from the Kimberley mountain resort to the Boulder hut and back.

In order to participate in this trip, you should have prior ski touring experience. You should also be AST1 trained and be in good physical condition.

Ski touring in the Canadian Rockies is unforgettable, not just for the skiing, but for the tremendous views. And few places are as well positioned as the Boulder hut. If you would like to enjoy this week long adventure that also includes the AST2 avalanche course, just send me a request.

I also lead a shorter, 4 day ski touring trip that also includes the same avalanche training course at the beautiful Talus lodge.
