Description

Ski Argentine Patagonia with local experts; three legendary mountains, one unforgettable week.

Join our guided journey through Cerro Catedral, Cerro Bayo, and Cerro Chapelco, where crisp Andean air, wide-open runs and wild Patagonian views set the stage for everything from relaxed lift-access days to thrilling sidecountry and hand-picked backcountry objectives.

We keep groups small and personal (maximum 4 guests per guide) and run every trip with certified local guides — with Niki Salencon leading the Bariloche-based program.

Choose the pace that fits you: a Ski Resort–focused itinerary for maximum lift time and groomers, or a Backcountry–focused trip that prioritizes avy-aware skinning, tours and selective descents into more remote terrain. Either way, your package includes accommodation, hosted meals, in-trip transport and 24/7 guiding support so you can focus on skiing and scenery.

    Meeting point

Our team will greet you upon arrival at Bariloche Airport.

    Itinerary

Day 1: Bariloche: Welcome & Asado

Upon landing in Bariloche, our team will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel near downtown, your base for the next two nights. Later, we’ll gather for a welcome meeting with drinks and light bites, followed by dinner at a traditional Patagonian asado restaurant. Settle in, relax, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Warm-Up Runs at Cerro Catedral

After breakfast, we head to Cerro Catedral for a warm-up session to assess the group’s level and get comfortable on snow. Throughout the day, you’ll explore groomed runs, hidden corners, and off-piste terrain with your guide. Lunch is flexible—either at a mountain restaurant or something quick on the go. In the evening, we return to Bariloche for dinner at a local Patagonian restaurant.

Day 3: Catedral Adventure & Transfer to Villa La Angostura

Following breakfast and check-out, we return to Cerro Catedral to access new terrain using a mix of lifts and short touring sections. A scenic picnic lunch offers sweeping views of lakes and peaks. In the afternoon, we drive to Villa La Angostura, a charming lakeside town where you’ll stay for the next two nights.

Day 4: Powder and Pines at Cerro Bayo

A short morning drive brings us to Cerro Bayo. Smaller and quieter than Catedral, it offers excellent powder, playful tree skiing, and stunning lake views. Spend the day refining skills while exploring both on- and off-piste terrain. In the evening, enjoy free time to wander Villa La Angostura and sample its local cuisine.

Day 5: Bayo Morning & Scenic Seven Lakes Drive to San Martín

After breakfast and check-out, we return to Cerro Bayo for another full day on snow. Weather permitting, we may hike toward Inacayal Mountain or nearby ridgelines for longer descents. Later, we drive north along the breathtaking Seven Lakes Road to San Martín de los Andes. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel for a two-night stay and enjoy dinner in town.

Day 6: Chapelco: Groomers, Trees & Secret Lines

Today we ski at Cerro Chapelco, just a short drive from San Martín. Warm up on groomers before venturing into lift-accessed off-piste terrain, forests, and hidden zones with your guide. After skiing, return to town to explore its lively atmosphere, bars, and restaurants.

Day 7: Chapelco Finale & Return to Bariloche

After breakfast and check-out, we head back to Chapelco for one final day on the mountain. If conditions allow, the Back Bowls offer fantastic freeride opportunities. In the afternoon, we return to Bariloche, check into the hotel, and celebrate the week with a farewell dinner.

    Day 8: Farewell Patagonia: Departures

After breakfast, your Patagonian journey comes to an end. You may transfer directly to either San Martín or Bariloche airport for departure. Alternatively, we can arrange a return transfer to Bariloche with ski equipment (additional cost applies). Safe travels, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Patagonia in the future.

What people are saying about this trip

    Ryan

Lucky enough to ski with Esnativa in South America and Japan. These guys are pros. Knowing and related to many professional outdoor guides I can say Esnativa is the real deal. Itinerary is very well thought out having to take into consideration what the mountains are offering. The plan for the day on mtn is communicated clearly but not so rigid if an opportunity or issues arise plan B or C is always on the ready seamlessly to keep the fun and vibe going but most importantly keeping safety first. Off the mountain these guys seek out great dinning options and comfortable accommodations allowing time to feel local / more immersed keeping the adventure going with your tired legs. Be ready and bring your A game! You may have the opportunity to ski some of your most memorable lines of your life in amazing locations.

Trip was awesome, our guide Mattias took us the volcanoes and we skied Lonquimay, Llaima, Villarica and Mocho. Mattias was not only taking care about the safety but also was perfect compañero. Esnativa guys organized everthing including nice barbecues and cozy accomodation . Recommend strongly!

our trip late september was amazing despite the low snowfall for the year - chile is spring is never bad! from miguel our superlative guide to snow conditions, from the delicious food to the little extras that niki and agustin stuck into our trip; the experience was unbelievable - esnativa rules with grace and generosity : )

    Sheena

We had a great experience with the Esnativa guides in Chile in Sept/Oct 2025. My friend and I were planning a ski touring trip for the spring volcano season and had reached out to a few guide groups by email. Agus, one of the founders of Esnativa, impressed us with a prompt response and well thought out itinerary. We were a bit last minute with some of our other travel plans, and Agus and crew were super accommodating. Our guide was Mattias, who was super kind and accommodating. As a group, we had some technical difficulties and weather hijinks, and he was communicative and thoughtful throughout. We had great weather one day and were able to summit Volcan Longuimay. Though circumstances didn't allow for another summit objective, we enjoyed the tours he put together in really beautiful spots. Great trip with good people, would recommend checking out their guide service for backcountry skiing in Chile.
