Meet your guide at 7:30 a.m. in front of Bourg-Saint-Maurice train station for a coffee and trip briefing before taking a shuttle to Ville des Glaciers, the starting point of the adventure.

The trek begins with one of the most spectacular sections of the Tour du Mont Blanc. After crossing the Col de la Seigne (2516 m), continue along a quieter panoramic variant climbing to 2700 meters. This scenic balcony trail offers outstanding views across the Mont Blanc massif before descending toward Val Veny, with a final stop near the beautiful Miage Lakes.

    Distance: 18 km Elevation: +1000 m / -1300 m Hiking time: 7–8 hours

Day 2: Val Ferret Loop & Rifugio Bonatti

After a short morning transfer to Val Ferret, set off on a scenic loop hike through alpine pastures and beneath the slopes of Tête de Sècheron. The route reaches nearly 2500 meters and rewards hikers with expansive mountain views throughout the day.

On the return journey, stop at the iconic Rifugio Bonatti before heading back to Val Veny for a second night in the same accommodation. Today’s route is completed with only a light daypack.

    Distance: 11 km Elevation: +900 m / -900 m Hiking time: 6–7 hours

Day 3: Grand Col Ferret to Argentière

Transfer to Arp Nova and begin the ascent toward the Grand Col Ferret, one of the classic highlights of the Tour du Mont Blanc and the natural border between Italy and Switzerland. The trail climbs past waterfalls, alpine meadows, and dramatic rock formations before reaching the pass.

From the summit, enjoy exceptional views over the Italian side of the Mont Blanc massif, including the Grandes Jorasses and Pré de Bar Glacier. Descend into Switzerland before transferring by bus and train through Orsières and Chamonix to Argentière, where the night is spent in a mountain refuge.

    Distance: 12 km Elevation: +800 m / -800 m Hiking time: Around 6 hours

Day 4: Lac Blanc Panorama Hike

Starting from Montroc, hike toward the famous Lac Blanc at 2352 meters, one of the most photographed viewpoints in the Alps. The turquoise alpine lake perfectly reflects the towering peaks of the Mont Blanc massif, creating one of the iconic landscapes of the TMB.

After enjoying the scenery, descend back toward Argentière and return to the refuge by shuttle for another overnight stay. As on the previous day, you’ll hike with only a light pack.

    Distance: 12 km Elevation: +1000 m / -1100 m Hiking time: 6–7 hours

    Day 5: Aiguillette des Posettes & Saint-Gervais

Today begins with a panoramic ascent toward the Aiguillette des Posettes (2201 m). The trail winds through alpine meadows with increasingly wide views over the Chamonix Valley, glaciers, and surrounding summits. From the top, enjoy an impressive 360° panorama stretching from Mont Blanc to Mont Buet.

Later, travel by the famous cogwheel train to Saint-Gervais before taking ski lifts toward Mont d’Arbois. A short final hike leads to a cozy mountain refuge at 2000 meters facing Mont Blanc.

    Distance: 12 km Elevation: +950 m / -750 m Hiking time: Around 6 hours

    Day 6: Seigne pass

Climb steadily toward the summit of Mont Joly (2525 m), the highest point of the day and one of the finest viewpoints of the western Mont Blanc massif.

The route continues along scenic ridgelines overlooking Megève and the surrounding alpine valleys before descending gradually through flower-filled meadows and mountain pastures to the refuge. Sunrise and sunset views here are particularly memorable.

    Distance: 14.5 km Elevation: +850 m / -900 m Hiking time: Approximately 5.5 hours

Day 7: Col Du Bonhomme ascent

The final day crosses two classic Tour du Mont Blanc passes: the Col du Bonhomme (2329 m) and the Col des Fours (2665 m). Along the way, stop at the peaceful Lac de Mya before descending toward Ville des Glaciers.

Celebrate the end of the trek with local cheeses and regional specialties before taking the shuttle back to Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

End of trip: Arrival at Bourg-Saint-Maurice train station in the evening. Please avoid booking onward transport before 7:30 p.m.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

    Maxine

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
