Description

Would you like to enjoy a quick winter getaway in Val d’Aran and discover the best places to ski in the Pyrenees? Then this all-inclusive program is just for you. We will tailor your itinerary to your needs and have all the logistics taken care of you so that you can focus on having a great time.

The Pyrenees stretch for 500km and outline a natural border between Spain and France. The highest mountains are located in the center, with Aneto Peak at an altitude of 3,404 meters (11,168 feet) as the highest of the range. Val d’Aran is located in this stunning area of high mountains and is a unique territory for ski lovers. Its special orientation ensures much higher levels of snowfall than the rest of the Pyrenees, making winters long and the quality of the snow exceptional.

Val d’Aran borders 3 natural parks: Aigüestortes, Maladeta, and Alt Pirineu. There is a wide variety of skiing routes and you can enjoy skiing on alpine terrain, tree-lines, open valleys, peaks, all in an exceptional environment, and far from the crowds. Val d’Aran is also a unique place in terms of history, culture, and gastronomy.

Baqueira Beret is located in the region and one of the world’s best ski resorts.  A motivated local guide will show you why it’s gained the reputation of being a Freeride Paradise. Long descents starting at an altitude of 2500m down to 1400m comprising open easy slopes, forests, valleys, gullies, and couloirs are part of its appeal. Some of the best out-of-bounds bowls like Montgarri, Ruda, or Bagergue will delight you.

Below you will find a tentative itinerary for this exciting weekend getaway. We will spend an average of 6 hours per day out on the snow and cover around 15km of terrain, and 1300m elevation gain. We can personalize the program to tailor to your preferences and needs. Keep in mind that we will spend 3 nights and 2 full days skiing in the area, but that you should account as well for a day of arrival and a day of departure.

So, are you ready for an unforgettable all-inclusive ski touring weekend getaway this winter? Then contact us now and let’s start planning an amazing trip together!

We really enjoyed our Via Ferrata tour with Willie! He explained everything very well, from how to set up and use the equipment to what to expect during the climb. He explained in detail how the safety features work as well as what to be careful for in terms of falling and the dangers associated with them. And the dangers associated with them. We had a ton of fun, and my daughter who was afraid successfully completed the course as well as the shorter more challenging routes at the end. On top of everything, Willie took some really nice pictures of us! We would 100% hire him again to take us on another Via Ferrata or even just a regular climbing outing.

Our group had a great experience. Most of us were at Font for the first time so this was a great intro. The guide was helpful and even offered to drive us back to Paris rather than us having to take the train. Some coordination info on the website was unclear but I was able to chat with a representative online to get it sorted. Only regret was not signing up for the full day experience!
