Join me on this 13-day trip and experience one of the best treks in the Nepal, the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek! This itinerary takes you on an unforgettable 9-day trek to the heart of the Annapurna massif, enjoying breathtaking view of these mountains.
You will be hiking on beautiful mountain trails, traversing forests full with rhododendron flowers in spring, crossing several suspension bridges, boulders and moraines, and many remote villages, staying at guesthouses until we reach the Annapurna Base Camp.
We will meet in Kathmandu and travel the next day to the beautiful city of Pokhara, from where we will transfer to Napayul, a 2-hour drive from Pokhara. On the third day, our trekking adventure begins!
The trail takes you to discover fascinating traditional villages of some of Nepal’s ethnic communities, like the Gurung, Magar, and Thakali who warmly welcome visitors. This is a perfect trek for first-time trekkers in the Himalaya Region, although you need a good fitness level to join us on this trip!
The Annapurna Base Camp trek offers some of the best views of the Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Fang (7647m.), Gangapurna (7454m), Annapurna South (7273m.), Mt. Fishtail (6997m.), and Dome Glacier.
Our trek continues immersed in unique landscapes, through Tikhedhunga, Ghorepani, Tadapani, Chhomrung, Deurali, until we finally reach the Annapurna Base Camp. You can check the day-by-day itinerary below!
Poonhill is also another attraction along the way, offering a great viewpoint at sunrise to enjoy spectacular views of more than 10 mountains of the Annapurna massif.
Although this trek runs all year long, the best time is during spring, when nature and forests blossom full of red, white and pink rhododendron flowers.

Our staff will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Welcome dinner, with Nepalese cultural dance. Short briefing about the trek (preparation). Overnight at a 3-star Hotel.
We will leave early in the morning after breakfast. Kathmandu to Pokhara. It is approximately a 6-7 hour trip. Overnight at a 3-star Hotel.
Today, we will travel to Nayapul from Pokhara on a private car. The trek begins after we reach Ulleri. It might be a little difficult because we have to walk on continous steps upward walking for 2 to 3 hours then a gradual upward walk. Walking through the forest, we will enjoy the view of Mt. Annapurna south, Mt. Himchuli. 5 to 6 hours/ Overnight at a guesthouse
We will leave from Ulleri village towards Ghorepani. This is the section where our trail ascends to a higher altitude. The trail follows the forest filled with oaks and rhododendron. After walking for about 4 hours we will arrive at Ghorepani. 5 to 6 hours / Overnight at a Guesthouse
Ghorepani is the main point to go to Poonhill. We will leave early in the morning so that we won’t miss the beautiful view of sunrise. Poonhill’s viewpoint alllow us to see more than 10 mountains of the Annapurna Massif. After enjoying the spectacular view, we will head to Chuile. 5 to 6 hours / Overnight at a Guesthouse
After breakfast, we will head to Upper Sinwa, leaving Chuile behind. The trail continues through narrow tracks, and about 6-7 hours of long walk we will reach Upper Sinwa. Mt. Fishtail, Himchuli can be seen clearly. 5 to 6 hours / Overnight at a Guesthouse
Today, we will trek through the mountains for Deurali. The descending walk takes us through stone steps and an uphill walk to Sinwa, then following a downhill walk to the bamboo, catches your breath. The trail passes through running streams, mountain flowers, and stunning mountain views. 6 to 7 hours / Overnight at Guesthouse.
Starting from Deurali, we pass through Machhapuchre base camp, a region surrounded by mountains. From the base camp, we get mesmerizing views of the majestic mountains. Our walk to Annapurna sanctuary is simply a holy experience. After a half an hour walk from M.B.C. we finally reach Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is surrounded by Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Himchuli (6434 m) and Machhapuchre (6997 m) which even at 4130 m altitude high above. 5 to 6 hours / Overnight at Guesthouse
After a lovely time in the tranquillity of the mountains and in its serene wilderness, we trek back to the lush green vegetation, the walk is more or less downhill with few ups to Bamboo for an overnight stay. 6 to 7 hours / Overnight at Guesthouse
From Bamboo, the morning walk leads to a short climb to Sinuwa, the trail descends all the way to the bridge, from the bridge uphill walk to Chomrong. After a break at Chomrong, the trail leads to a short uphill, descending towards Jhinu Danda. You can visit the hot springs down below by the river Modi from Jhinu Danda. Overnight stay at Jhinu Danda (hot spring). 5 to 6 hours / Overnight at a gesthouse
On our way to Naya Pul from Jhinu Danda, we get to enjoy the amazing hill landscape of western Nepal. We have lunch on the way. Our trek will end at Naya Pul where we board our vehicle to Pokhara. 6 to 7 hours / Overnight in Pokhara at a 3-star Hotel
We will be travelling back to Kathmandu in a tourist bus in the morning. If you are interested in extending the trip, there are many options such as Chitwan jungle safari, Lumbini Tour, River Rafting Adventure, Kathmandu Shopping tour, Mountain biking, and other activities. In the evening we will have a farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances. 6 to 7 hours / Overnight in Kathmandu at a 3-star Hotel
Today as per your international flight time, our Sherpa Expedition and Trekking staff will transfer you to the airport for your final departure from this amazing country, Nepal.
