Description

Situated in north-central Nepal, Annapurna is one of the tallest and most iconic peaks in all of the Himalayas.

Heading out on the 18-day Annapurna Circuit Trek is perhaps the best way to experience amazing views of this majestic peak, while taking in the scenery of the Himalayan foothills and experiencing the local culture.

The adventure begins once you arrive in Kathmandu at the start of the trip. Our first order of business will be to explore the city and visit its three unique UNESCO World Heritage sites.

However, Kathmandu is just the appetizer. From the capital, we will strike out into the Himalayan foothills, arriving at the Pokhal Valley.

The rest of the trip will be spent traversing hills and small mountains, crossing rivers, passing through quaint mountain villages and even hiking up into the snowy foothills near Annapurna.

Along the way, expect numerous phenomenal views up into the mighty Himalayas as well as back out over the verdant valleys through which we've just hiked.

We'll also have the chance to meet local people and experience their culture by visiting monasteries and trying the local cuisine. This, as much as any view, is one of the highlights of the trip.

Perhaps the zenith of our trip will be the two middle days, when we ascend up the Thorong La Pass (5,416 m) and Lubra Pass, both of which provide us with the best views of the Himalayas.

(For a more detailed itinerary please see below.)

So what are you waiting for? Book now for this unforgettable 18-day journey through the Himalayan foothills on the Annapurna Circuit Trek!

If you like the look of this trip, but were looking for something to Annapurna that's just a bit shorter, then we think you will enjoy our 14-day Annapurna base camp trek!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
