Description

Experience the incredible Austrian southern Alps' slopes, far away from the crowds on this exciting 6-day tour. Join me for an unforgettable week.

On this incredible adventure, we'll visit places in Austria, Italy and Slovenia. We'll even get to enjoy impressive views of the Julian Alps, the Karavanke mountains, the Hohe Tauern and the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. We'll be splitboarding hidden valleys, beautiful peaks and untouched routes.

Not only will we splitboard, there are options for off-piste snowboarding and mountaineering as well. And skiers are welcome too. Besides, I can also train you in splitboarding if this is your first time. The itinerary is flexible to your skills, and snow and weather conditions, but we'll always look for the best snow conditions.

Some of the places where we can splitboard include: Viševnik, Rodica, Nad Šitom Glava, Pod Kriško steno, Škrbina nad Cijanerico and Dobratsch. They are all incredible and beautiful options, offering different difficulties and challenges.

Make sure to bring beacon, probe, shovel, a backpack, a helmet, crampons, an ice axe and splitboarding equipment. I can arrange to rent the equipment if you require.

So join me for this unique adventure in the Austrian southern Alps. You'll discover a whole new and beautiful area of the Alps. I can't wait to show you around.

I also offer many other trips in this area outside the winter season, such as a 1-week mountaineering trip in Grossglockner, the highest peak in Austria.

Mountain Guide

I am a Slovenian IFMGA mountain guide with the ZGVS.
It was when I was 12 years old that I first climbed a mountain myself and by the age of 15 I had started rock climbing.
Since then, my ascents count up to around 1000, starting from Mont Blanc in the seventies and Triglav north face to Cho Oyu, and all over South America including 18 of the 6000m+ peaks including a first ascent on south face of Aconcagua.

I have climbed and travelled all over the world, Shivlinga, K2, Mt Everest, Manaslu, Shishi Panama, El Cap and sport climbing in Kalymnos and Cuba.

Skiing powder in great conditions and rock climbing under the sun are my motto!

Contact me if you'd like to have fun safely in the mountains with me! If I am unavailable then my trusted friend guides, Franc and Milan, can take care of you!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
