Come to explore the stunning Japanese backcountry of Myoko with a private group ski tour with fully-certified ski guide Jerry.
Explore the summits in the snowiest spots in the whole of Japan.
Breath in the clear and crisp air of the solitude of the mountains.
Take advantage of having a qualified guide with you in the Japan Alps.
Surrounded by snowy rugged wilderness is the city of Myoko, resting in the centre of the main Japanese island of Honshu.
Guarded by the five mountains of Madarao (1,382m), Myoko (2,454m), Kurohime (2,053m), Togakushi (1,904m) and Iizuna (1,917m), they are known collectively as the Five Peaks of Northern Shinano.
The city of Myoko is completely covered in forest and mountains, and as its name suggests, is home to Mount Myoko, one of the five peaks.
Large chunks of the region are bound within the beautiful Myoko-Togakushi Renzan National Park, a 98,280-acre park that was established in 2015.
Blessed with its mountainous location, as well as being one of the snowiest places in the whole of Japan, exploring the backcountry around Myoko presents outstanding adventures.
With a maximum group of five, we can adapt the trip to match the average level of the group in terms of ability, experience and desires.
Discover anything from wide open skiing and steep chutes to thrilling ridgelines and tree skiing. There are also opportunities to have snowmobile access and even heliskiing.
The mountains hold steep slopes as well as routes that are gentler, ensuring that the immense Japanese backcountry is open to all levels of difficulty.
And when I say all levels, I also mean open to families looking to discover a winter wonderland together. So long as your kids are aged 12 years and above, and have skied before, we can customise the trip.
Get in touch now to reserve your place in the majestic city of Myoko, surrounded by picturesque mountains for a private group backcountry ski tour.
I am a mountain guide from New Zealand and have been chasing winters between New Zealand and Japan for 15 years.
I have an intimate knowledge of the local mountains and there is a huge variety of terrain and routes to choose from each day.
I have also developed a close connection to the Japanese ski community, the local culture and the people that make Japan such a special place to visit. I hold the cultural aspect of our ski trips as a very important factor in tying together any trip.

Hi, since you insist to get feedback I am happy to give some. I am afraid to say our guide Luis absolutely didn’t meet the expectations. I expect 3 things from a back country guide. 1. Be friendly, communicative and show you are happy to offer customers a great experience . 2. Adapt the experience on the spot to the level of the customers 3. Know the area where you go skiing. None of the 3 items above were met so our group was very disappointed to have spend that much money on a day like this. As a consequence we would not recommend your organisation to others. Perhaps your guide had a bad day or a hangover but if I was the owner I would expect more from my employees. Please note that we don’t refer in this review to our French help guide Cedric who did a good job

Best day of skiing of my life. It exceeded my expectations. Excellent guide and communication prior to the trip. I highly recommend.
