  • Gaze at the gorgeous scenery in famous places like Banff and Lake Louise.

When it comes to exciting and beautiful mountain ranges in the world, the Canadian Rockies are definitely at or near the top. Right there with mythical ranges like the Andes, the Alps and the Himalayas, the Rockies are truly astounding.

On this trip that can last one or several days if you wish, I would like to guide you on an ice climbing adventure in the Rockies. Due to the sheer size and scope of this amazing mountain range, the options as to where we can go are abundant. As a result, based on several factors, from your skill level and desires to the weather and snow conditions, together, we will choose the perfect spot for you.

Our climbing area will be in the Ghost River valley in the province of Alberta. The valley stretches from just west of Calgary all the way to Jasper. Below are just a few examples of the spots you can climb.

  • Cascade Falls – Ghost Valley – W13 400m

  • The House of Sky – Banff – W13 300m

  • Louise Falls – Lake Louise – W14 110m

  • The Professor Falls – Banff – W14 280m

  • Weeping Wall – Icefields Parkway – W1 4-5+ 160m

  • Johnston Canyon single pitch venue – Banff – W1 3-5+

Each one of these spots offers not only an exciting climb, but spectacular views. And because of the variety, even if you decided to ice climb at each one of these spots, you’d be getting a completely unique and memorable experience.

Ice climbing in the Canadian Rockies is thrilling. It is mesmerizing. And on this trip, I would be happy to guide you. If that sounds like something you would like to do, just send me a request.

I can also take you ice climbing in the beautiful Bow valley as well.

What people are saying about E-S Adventure Guides

Will was great wise and fun to spend the day with.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

All perfect

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!

Can not review - guide cancelled but the trip was not to Perce Rock if we had gone - sadly.. tour was was what was advertised and destination was not where planned Ultimately the full day paddle was canceled by the guide company Effort was there and communication was good! Just booked what I wanted and was not what the guide could offer …
