Description

Join me on this ‘Border Crossing’ day hike in the Pyrenees, in which we’ll start from Barcelona and discover 2 valleys in one day!

This is a demanding but extremely rewarding hike for those who prefer remote and less frequented trails.

The trip includes the pick up in Barcelona, and driving towards the Pyrenees (in a 7 seats VW van). It’s a 1 to 2-hour drive, depending on the itinerary agreed for the hike.

There are several options, according to the time of the year and the fitness level and experience of the participants:

ROUTE 1 (Levels 1 to 2): Open to everyone! Includes fantastic views of the PEDRAFORCA! It’s a round hike that starts from the rural village of Saldes.
Duration of the hike (walking time): 4 hours.

ROUTE 2 (Levels 3 and 4): A must-do hike in this very special region in the Pedraforca, as it includes a visit to the most well-known mountain hut in this range.

Duration of the hike (walking time): 7 hours

There are options for longer and harder routes. During winter there might be snow and icy conditions which can complicate the hike, so we prefer to choose the itinerary, knowing exactly the dates and so the conditions. During summer we can adequate our hikes to your level and goals for that day.
