Description

Looking for a classic mountaineering route in the Andes? Then follow me on this 4-day program to the top of Cerro El Plomo, an iconic peak in Chile!

At 5,424 meters above sea level, Cerro El Plomo is a mountain in the Santiago Metropolitan Region of Chile where we can take two routes with different levels of difficulty. Whether you’re a beginner in mountaineering or a more advanced participant, we’ll find a suitable itinerary for you.

To reach the summit of Cerro El Plomo, we can either take the normal route, that reaches an altitude of 5,200 meters, or the route across the Iver Glacier. This last option presents more demanding sections and requires prior experience and a very good level of fitness. If you don’t have a lot of experience in mountaineering, we’ll go for the normal route, which has a small glacier near the summit. However, for more experienced participants, we can offer you the Iver Glacier route. In any case, it’s mandatory to be physically fit.

Please, take a look below for a more detailed description of the trip’s itinerary.
