Description

Join me on this frozen adventure by climbing the Goulotte Holzknecht in Sassolungo (3,181m)!

Also known as Langkofel, Sassolungo (3,181m) is the highest mountain of the Langkofel Group in the Dolomite Mountains. My invitation is to join me on this ice climbing trip to the Goulotte Holzknecht, a very nice corridor where the tool we will mostly use will be ice axes and crampons

Beautiful to see in the afternoon as they reflect the sunlight, the goulottes are lines of ice that creep into the mountain crevices in winter. The Raggio Goulotte  starts about 100 meters below the Cengia dei Fassani, where 300 meters downhill we will find the Demetz Refuge (2687 meters). As a true goulotte, it continues for another 3 lengths in the canal up to a characteristic hole formed by a stuck stone.

From here, we will continue to the left climbing on continuous mixed passages .While climbing this beautiful vertical wall of ice, to the right we will walk through the Spallon Waterfall along the canal of the SSE Point of Punta Rosmarie and after another 200 meters, we will reach the beautiful Spallone summit!

So if you are ready for this ice climbing adventure, request to book this trip!

If you are looking for another winter program, you can also join me on this One-day winter climbing in Cima Grande di Lavaredo!

Mountain Guide

I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients.

I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering.

Feel free to contact me if you want to live a great adventure in the Dolomites or anywhere else in the Alps, during the winter or the summer. It will be a great pleasure for me to guide you and allow you to reach your goal. I work with other mountain guides in the Veneto area, such as Filippo, Massimo, and my brother Daniele. If I am unavailable on the date you are interested in coming climbing, skiing, or engaging in other activities with me, I can connect you with one of them.

Enrico was an amazing guide!!! My husband and I tackled via ferrata Punta Anna in Cortina which was challenging and exciting. Enrico was very responsive and communicative upfront, detailing the route and what we could expect. On the day of he was an excellent instructor, supportive and patient. He helped us have the best possible time out on our first via ferrata in the Dolomites. He took a ton of photos and videos during our outing which he shared with us afterwards. When we mentioned we would be in the area for another week, he went above and beyond and gave us his recommendations for the best hikes in the area. They were spot on! We would highly recommend using Enrico as a mountain guide!!

Our guide Filippo was fantastic. We insisted on exploring the Delle Trincee which turned out to be outside the ability of our group. Filippo was patient and fun and helped us traverse several sections that matched our ability while keeping our spirits high. The equipment was excellent, the communication with the outfitter was excellent. If you're looking for a guide to help you explore the Dolomites, we had a great experience with Enrico and his team.

We had the most amazing via ferrata experience in Cortina! This was our first time in Cortina and first time doing a via ferrata. Enrico was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable of the area and was also very attentive to safety. We had such a fun time and would recommend him and explore share to all of our friends!

3 stars Marmolada is due to weatherconditions. Lack of new snow. Enrico found good snow in parts of the glacier. 5 stars to him. Before we went up to the glacier, Enrico took us for a testride offpiste to see if we would be able to ski difficult conditions. Very good.

To be honest we are very disappointed. We signed up for the day of free ride on Marmolada but Enrico wisely said the snow conditions were not conducive for doing that. He offered to do other activities (specifically ski touring) but that is not what we paid for or signed up for, and did not want to do that. Since he offered “alternative activities” it appears we lose 100% of the cost per Explore-Share policy. This is extremely unfair. Enrico seemed like a good guy and probably a very good guide, but I would NOT recommend Explore Share to anyone! Terrible experience for an expensive day.
