Description

Montana offers some of the most stunning sceneries. And cross-country skiing is one of the best way to really appreciate them, while you explore around. This trip is ideal for those who want to discover beautiful spots, and enjoy the most thrilling cross-country trails in Beartooth, Montana!

Half a day might not seem like much, but by the end of it you will be exhausted! No only will you enjoy the finest cross-country skiing, but the splending surroundings will simply hypnotize you. So by the end your day, a hot cup of chocolate and a cozy fireplace will be awaiting for you, if you so desire.

Cross-country skiing is an activity ideal for folks who don’t necessarily enjoy going downhill. However, all the trails I’ve chosen are near the downhill ski areas. So, you also have the option to put away your skis and enjoy the trek!

Some of the places we’ll visit are classic Beartooth trails. They include the Basin Lakes, Bear track trail, Lake Fork and the Silver Run trail loops. This 2 to 6 hours hike and cross country ski tours are the perfect way to discover the winter backcountry of this wonderful place.

Your safety is my main concern, so we’ll follow all the rules needed to assure you are safe. We’ll go over things such as the use and efficiency of trekking with snowshoes. I’ll also teach you about orienteering and how to find routes. And we’ll discuss how to manage environmental hazards. Additionally, I’ll teach you about local forest ecology, as well as geology.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide.
