Description

During this day long hiking adventure, you will get to trek along the amazing Ruta de los pastores de Ibeu.

This impressive hiking route has quite a decorated history. It has been used in the past by the shepherds of Mere, who walked along it to guide their cattle to the nearby Onis Mountains. And, on this trip, you will get to walk along that same route, where you can enjoy some of the finest mountain views of Spain.

Located near the iconic Picos de Europa in the Cantabrian Mountains, the views along the Ruta de los pastores de Ibeu are unbelievable. Throughout the trek, which begins in Llanes, you will get to see and admire a number of abandoned villages, sheepfolds as well as the gorgeous Vega de Ibeu. Furthermore, you will get plenty of views of the sea as well as the Picos de Europa.

This trek stretches for approximately 10 kilometers and should not take longer than 4 hours. It is not very difficult. As a result, people of all levels can enjoy it. That includes families. So, if you are visiting the Spanish province of Asturias and would like to take the family for a great hike, this trip would be perfect for you.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
